We are a group of students at the University of Stirling trying to improve the campus biodiversity and ensure a safe campus for hedgehogs!

🦔 Why does it matter?
Hedgehogs walk about a mile per night on a quest for food - including through our gardens. Fences stop hedgehogs in their journey. Therefore, putting holes in fences allows them to move freely between gardens!

Hedgehogs don't have a fight or flight response, rather than running away they curl up into a tight spiky ball when scared. Their spikes aren't enough to defend themselves against the blades of a strimmer.
