@jeffye888 Vitamin D>>Rapidly dividing out of control cells? Good cuz I live in super sunny Scottsdale.
Fully ported on $OPENโฆlike way too much ๐
You had it right when you said "current model".
Future model -> Opendoor is the true default marketplace for all RE transactions, sets accurate prices implicitly, and connects buyers and sellers directly without holding properties on their balance sheet. This becomes possible due to the massive liquidity they will control and soon tokenize.
Take a cut of every transaction, layer on profitable services (many of which are recurring by the way), expand worldwide, and boom, $1T valuation.
This is the way ๐
Agree, this post is not going to age very well. Just wait until Opendoor becomes the true market maker for housing transactions and simply connects buyers and sellers without holding any properties on their books...all while layering on profitable services.
This is the way. Default option? โ
@morganb and @nejatian, are you guys actively scouring traditional RE listings (Redfin, Zillow, etc) for houses with large recent price reductions and/or high days on market and then reaching out to the listing agent?
If so, ๐. If not, why not?
Thx $OPEN
No need. Opendoor is being built as a true startup and is basically in pre-IPO mode, even though itโs a public company available to the masses. Kaz has approval from the board to build this thing from the ground up without regard to quarterly pig lipstick like most other companies.
Most people can only dream of a private equity type opportunity like this, and then piss and moan when the stock fluctuates. How do you even mark a startup to market daily anyway? ๐คทโโ๏ธ
If you canโt take the dips, get off the ride. Just buckle in and hold on tight. Soon this price action will just look silly in the rear view ๐
A housing crash is not likely imminent, but will happen again someday. Opendoor is so entrenched in the data that they will be able to sniff it out early and position accordingly. Hopefully by that time they will be connecting buyers and sellers without actually holding properties on their balance sheet. LFG. Faster. ๐

This move will reduce contribution margin short term, but is a very smart spend for CAC. Long term $OPEN will need to put realtor fees in their own pocket once there are more ๐ on the platform ๐
@ThomasD78637@Cantal_Capital 100%. Iโm in this boat. My mom is 78 and we will sell her house through Opendoor someday. No brainer for older people who donโt want to deal with the traditional sales BS
