Hundreds are missing, and many are feared dead after a massive flash flood hit the Nepal-China border on Wednesday.

A wall of water obliterated infrastructure, sweeping hundreds of people away. A glacial lake outburst above the Bhotekoshi River may have caused the flooding and destruction, Shailendra Thapa, a spokesman for the Armed Police Force, said, but AccuWeather meteorologists pinpoint an earthquake in the area as the root cause.
