🚨NEW: Rapist Owen Wilson has been spared jail for raping a 12-year-old girl he met in a park.

Owen, who was 15 at the time of the offence, was handed a two year suspended sentence by Judge Penny Moreland at Newcastle Crown Court, along with 250 hours of unpaid work and 40 days of rehabilitation activity.

The court heard how Wilson, then aged 15, had been in a park in South Shields, drinking with friends during the school summer holidays in August, 2023 when he was introduced to the child.

The young girl was given alcohol by the older group and as the day wore on, she found herself alone with Wilson.

🚨NEW: Overtly gay police officer Rafael Edwards avoids sack after Kent Police misconduct hearing.

Edwards inappropriately touched a colleague repeatedly, shared urine fetish material and made lewd remarks to fellow recruits in just his first few months on the job.

It was also accepted one crude comment, made while PC Edwards was preparing to go out in “drag”, was in keeping with a persona intended to make people “cringe and feel embarrassed” for comic effect.

A report criticised Kent Police College for failing to properly address inclusion concerns raised by PC Edwards, who was described as an “overtly gay, black officer” who was “evidently very different” to the wider cohort.

Fifteen years ago, as a die-hard Corbynite, Labour voter, lefty and Remainer, I'd probably have scoffed at the death of Ann Widdecombe, if I'm honest. I loved Andy Hamilton's Old Harry's Game on BBC Radio 4, and she was the punchline in what felt like every episode.

Looking back, I'm quite ashamed of that version of myself. It wasn't real morality, it was performative virtue.

The last decade has been quite a journey for me, both spiritually and politically, and I don't think the two are unrelated. Watching people rush to celebrate her death, only to frantically delete their posts when it emerged she had been brutally murdered, made me realise how grateful I am not to be that person anymore.

I'm meeting more and more people who've travelled a similar path and arrived at much the same place.

Whatever your politics, don't let hatred become part of your character. Try to pull people up to your level, rather than allowing yourself to be dragged down to theirs.

RIP Ann. You were quite some human being.

You rarely see the unflappable Nick Ferrari get this angry… but today he absolutely went off on caller Malik for trying to excuse the grooming gangs scandal.

Malik actually claimed the girls were “vulnerable” because of broken families, care homes, and society “throwing them out like rubbish”, basically blaming everyone except the actual predators!

Ferrari wasn’t having it. Visibly shocked, then furious, he roared:

Don’t try and find some kind of rational. That is offensive! You’re close to a red card! That’s absolutely preposterous!
