It’s Native American History, Culture, & Heritage Week at SV! This will bring a celebration of Native American history, culture, and heritage to all of our classes during the week.
Today, our students learned about Deb Haaland. Haaland made history when she became the first Native American to serve as a cabinet secretary. She is a member of the Pueblo of Laguna and a 35th generation New Mexican.
We love visiting our friends at Mauzy School. Our band took a special trip over today to play some Halloween tunes. Thank you to Mrs. Ferreira for organizing! 🎶🎃🦁🎵

Our Go Green Leadership Committee put together some covers for the compost bins in order to inspire students to compost their unwanted fruit and veggies (as opposed to soliciting the crows for a remake of "The Birds".) ♻️ 🦁
