I am happy I was able to advocate for patient today. He brought his guitar to the nursing home. The staff took it away b/c he fell while playing it. It is the his insistence on not using his wheelchair, not the guitar that was the problem. He got it back today. #MusicTherapy

Last day of work for a while. I’ve really enjoyed being a Hospice #musictherapist but there is nothing quite like working with the terminally ill to help focus one’s own priorities. I’ll miss the patients terribly. A new chapter will begin.

@I_Know_A_Dude @JasonIsbell While I really want to communicate the hope, it’s also not an end point. I am still powerless, always will be. My life is still unmanageable 8.5 years in. It is undoubtedly better but I still have to work on accepting what I cannot change. Be well, be sober
