🛠️ Message Similarity Fix!

Recently, some confusing false-positives were popping up -- turns out message similarity was comparing post-parsed messages instead of the raw output, causing emotes in messages to increase similarity.

tl;dr: Less false positives when using emotes.

It looks like you got hit with follows from some 'hoss' accounts -- StopHateBot's filters are all focused on chat interaction to take action.

If they then began to exhibit the normal hateful message spam, it would be detected and the accounts banned!

Another 200 accounts across 2 attacks have been banned in channels protected by StopHateBot today alone -- and surely many more went by unprotected.

Moderators and the broadcaster can now use various chat commands to change the settings of StopHateBot!

@Lightstream Keep in mind that these bot attacks bypass unique chat by prepending random sets of characters!

StopHateBot includes message similarity filters so you can set a threshold such as 90% to catch these bots and ban them!

@Yaysian @TioGDX StopHateBot is good for catching and banning as the raid happens -- but if you've already been hit and need to block/ban enmasse, @CommanderRoot has some useful tools!

@hedgewizardly Nothing on this side, at the moment -- but there may be some anti-spam Discord bots already out there somewhere!

Depending on how things go in the future, it may be something we eventually tackle.

Additionally, panic mode will now override a pause if it's active and will prevent pausing from raids while it's active.

Pause on raid was technically only pausing the auto-enable instead of just pausing moderation in general. This has been updated to pause all moderation filters on raid (sorry @_bckylws!)

To further help quell false-positives and hone the target of these filters, you can now immunize subscribers, VIPs, or specific users by name.

🔴 Panic Button Change:

Instead of just enabling filters to your settings, the Panic button will now set the filter settings to be higher sensitivity + enabled.

Be sure to REFRESH your dashboard if it's open to get this change!

Had this scenario in my mind where someone had accidentally misconfigured their filters, got hit with a hate raid, and the panic button did nothing to help -- hopefully this will prevent something like that from happening ❤️

If you don't want to risk false-positives but want hate raid protection from StopHateBot:

🚫Disable all filters in options
🚫Disable auto-enable for filters by putting "0" in the auto-enable fields
✅ Hit the panic button at the first sign of trouble
