Damn @deepsilver way to throw Volition and Saints Row under the bus 🤦🏽♂️
Hopefully you idiots and your trash community manager will stay away from the IP from now on.
Where did Saints Row 2022 go wrong? Well according to an anonymous ex Volition developer:
- The original plot of the game featured the original Saints crew present from Saints Row 1-4 (Yes that means Johnny Gat too)
- The original pitch for the game was going to be a sequel/reboot to the ending of Saints Row IV
- The story was rewritten 3/4 times during active development (every time this happened the game would be pushed back by months)
- Multiple Volition developers quit the studio during development due to constant creative direction clashes with Deep Silver
- There was a mandate from upper management that Volition had to fix critical areas to at least be able to make it to the end of the game without it crashing. "This mandate caused crunch. Lots of it. QA was crunching 50-60 hours a week, minimum. All other departments were putting in 12 hour days. Some longer. The crunch and lack of idea cohesion caused a lot of people to lose faith in the project and the studio started bleeding people at a constant rate. Two to three people would leave a week at its worst point"
- Deep Silver tied end of project bonuses for employees but ONLY if the game achieved a very high Metacritic average score (this lead to even more resentment between Volition and Deep Silver execs because achieving a score so high was basically impossible)
This game sounds like it was an absolute train wreck behind the scenes that was doomed right from the conception of the idea.
Damn.

@PsychoFilm1@Dexerto@DSVolition Volition is pretty much fucked at this point. As for the Saints Row IP, I believe it’s in the hands of deep silver which is not a good thing. The best that can happen is they sell it to a company that cares
@JamesRh39594157 Embracer group only owned the company. Volition and their writers are fully responsible for how the game turned out. Maybe a bit of deep silver as well.

Straight up bs at this point lol. If you really wanted that guy to stop you could’ve easily just told him to. Even trying to say that the mods were the ones being harassed when we’ve already seen evidence of it being the other way around 🤣🤣. At least learn how to lie better.
@RevenantRemnant I guess their definition of trying to stop someone is supporting them but i’m not surprised. It’s the same company that put out a game like this thinking it would make the community happy
