πHey game devs, check out this breakdown of STORMRITE's adaptive music system:
The score is built around gameplay-driven layers and music states.
Each map area runs its own layered state, including time-of-day variation.
An exploration layer functions as the base music state.
As gameplay escalates, additional layers are triggered by danger, magic zones, and combat.
During combat, multiple layers stack based on intensity, with event-driven stems (for example, drums and low brass) reinforcing action over the explorative base of sustained orchestra and pads.
When combat resolves, the system transitions back to the exploration state, leaving only the exploration layer active.β¨βοΈ

Now players can combine light & heavy attacks to mix up their attack patterns for maximum damage...
Heavy attacks cost more stamina, but do more damage and have a higher chance to stagger enemies!
