Delivering a compelling keynote address on “Governance Empowering India’s Next Leap” during the STPI Tech Summit 2026 today, Dr. Arvind Gupta (@buzzindelhi), Head, Digital India Foundation and Adjunct Professor – Data & Digital Economy, highlighted how India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) has emerged as a global benchmark for inclusive and scalable innovation. 💫🎙️

Reflecting on India’s remarkable digital transformation, he underscored the importance of leveraging technology to ease lives, strengthen governance and create meaningful impact.

Dr. Gupta spoke about India’s vibrant startup ecosystem, growing investments in infrastructure, the rise of electronics manufacturing and the country’s emergence as a preferred destination for global collaborations. Highlighting the transformative potential of combining AI with Digital Public Infrastructure, he described it as “a system on steroids” capable of unlocking unprecedented opportunities. ⚙️

🎙️✨ At STPI Tech Summit 2026 – India's Next Leap, Ms. Ritu Sain, Investment Commissioner, Chhattisgarh State Industrial Development Corporation (CSIDC), Government of Chhattisgarh, shared compelling insights on the theme "Emerging IT Landscape & Opportunities in the State of Chhattisgarh."

Addressing common misconceptions, she highlighted Chhattisgarh's emergence as a promising destination for technology, innovation and investment. Backed by sustained economic growth, robust power availability, a young and skilled workforce, and world-class digital infrastructure, the state is steadily building a strong foundation for the IT and innovation ecosystem.

She underscored the strategic advantages of Naya Raipur, home to premier institutions such as AIIMS, IIM, IIIT and NIFT, creating a strong talent pipeline for the industry. Ms. Sain also outlined the state's investor-friendly policies and incentives, including EPF reimbursement, employment subsidies and training support designed to accelerate IT sector growth.

Emphasising Chhattisgarh's readiness for the future, she invited industry leaders and investors to explore the state's immense potential. ⚙️

In the spirit of partnership, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was exchanged between AIC STPINEXT INITIATIVES and NEN, Wadhwani Foundation during the event, to catalyse the next phase of India’s entrepreneurial growth and boost the vibrant innovation ecosystem. 🤝

The MoU was exchanged between Ms. Sanghamitra Dutta Bhasin, Accelerate Growth Program Manager, on behalf of NEN and Shri Sanjay Kumar Gupta (@guptaa_sanjay), Sr. Director, STPI, on behalf of STPINEXT.

Through this collaboration, startups will gain access to structured founder development programmes, mentorship, investor readiness support, and growth acceleration opportunities.

Reflecting on STPI’s remarkable journey, he emphasised that while the organisation has played a pivotal role in India’s technology growth, the focus must now be on the future - driving self-reliance, innovation and technological leadership under the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. 🇮🇳

Highlighting the immense potential of India’s youth, he remarked that every district should have an STPI centre, ensuring that talent from across the country has access to opportunities and technology.

“STPI will be the one-stop shop to provide access to technology,” he shared. ⚙️

Pointing to the upcoming STPI Agritech CoE in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, he noted that opportunities once unheard of in such regions are now becoming a reality through STPI’s expanding footprint and vision.

Reaffirming the Government’s commitment to ease of doing business and ease of living, he noted that STPI will remain at the forefront of enabling innovation and reform as India advances towards a Viksit Bharat.✨

Shri S. Krishnan(@SecretaryMEITY), Secretary, MeitY, delivered a thought-provoking address at STPI Tech Summit 2026, reflecting on India’s technology journey and the opportunities that lie ahead in the age of Artificial Intelligence. ⚙️🗯️

Addressing the transformative impact of AI on the IT and ITES landscape, he emphasised the need to proactively understand and adapt to the changes it will bring. The real question, he noted, is not whether AI will reshape industries, but how India can ride this technological wave, deploy it across sectors, and ensure it creates meaningful impact in the lives of its citizens.

Recalling discussions from the IndiaAI Impact Summit, he acknowledged STPI’s significant role in bringing together innovators, policymakers, industry leaders, investors, mentors and entrepreneurs.
