Erebus, the extremophiles and the elf 🎅 🦠

Ross headed up Mt Erebus with a team studying microorganisms that live in the volcano’s steaming soils. He relaxed while the team collected samples, which will aid understanding of the conditions that can support life on Earth.

Adélie penguins make their nests out of rocks and pebbles, and often turn to stealing from others to build the best nest.
