'These are the first signs of sonic attack:
You will notice small objects such as ornaments oscillating...
You will hear a distant hissing in your ears
You will feel dizzy, you will feel the need to vomit
You may be subject to fits of hysterical shouting or even laughter'
The number of Kremlin sympathizers on this platform is disgusting.
And every one appears to love two Americans in particular—Trump and Musk.
If Putin blows up the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, this platform will be lousy with MAGA Kremlinists falsely accusing Ukraine of doing it.
Strike, power to the people, not the corporate fatties.
(side note, why is it of all the left, liberal, supposed progressive accts I follow on Twit and Youtube, and the 'news' feeds I get, the only place I heard about this is from one trans rights channel I follow on yt? 🤨)
Negotiations with UPS collapsed. They are still prioritizing their multi billion profits over our lives. As part-timers, we are tired of the sweatshop working conditions and poverty wages.
Get ready, because looks like that on August 1 we are having a historic strike. @Teamsters
UPS TEAMSTERS REDOUBLE STRIKE READINESS AROUND THE COUNTRY
With @UPS walking away from the national table early this morning, #Teamsters’ practice picketing actions are escalating at UPS barns nationwide. #1u
Unions are the backbone of our middle class and America's working families.
I proudly stand with the 340,000 @Teamsters at UPS who are exercising their right to organize.
Their tireless work keeps our economy moving — and they deserve dignity, respect and a fair contract.
Utterly heartbroken that Monte has died. We first met almost 50 years ago. I will love him forever. He was a very special, talented and beautiful kind person. RIP Monte 💔
Monte Cazazza, the artist and musician who coined the term "industrial" to describe aggressive electronic rock music, has died at age 68: https://t.co/bnrVXZIgwj
RIP Monte Cazazza.
A friend of 40 years.
For us that new him well he was the kindest and most giving person one could meet.
So much to say but sometimes there are no words…
Hell is about to get a lot more interesting...
Farewell to Monte Cazazza, who is credited with coining the phrase "Industrial Music for Industrial People." With connections to Throbbing Gristle, he produced projects described as "insanity-outbreaks thinly disguised as art events," and released some truly classic music.
Today’s decision by the conservative Supreme Court to eliminate student debt relief for millions of Americans will have a profound economic impact for generations to come. My thoughts:
NEVER FORGET: When Barack Obama was President, Mitch McConnell BLOCKED President Obama from having nomination hearings for SCOTUS for almost a year.
When Donald Trump was President, Sen Mitch McConnell rammed through 3 nominees that ALL perjured themselves under oath.
I suppose Clarence Thomas is happy that he and his billionaire, conservative friends have finally killed the ability to use race as one factor in determining entrance to our colleges and universities. I suppose Clarence Thomas and his privileged, billionaire friends, who own a Supreme Court Justice, can lean back and gloat, while they are resting on their private airplanes and fine vacation sites. Clarence Thomas has just struck a blow against children of color being able to get educated, take positions of power, and eradicate discrimination and racism that denies full equality and opportunity.
President Biden delivered on his promise to cancel student loans, and now a reactionary Supreme Court has overturned it.
Fortunately, the administration is going to use other means to deliver relief to borrowers.
Let’s break down what they’re doing:
And while I'm generally not here to talk about the past, I can't at this moment resist pointing out that ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED IF PEOPLE HAD VOTED FOR THE EMAIL LADY.
"The decisions over the past year... are all very crystal clear that if you are marginalized in this community, they are going to take your rights away, not expand your rights, not protect your rights" - @sarahkateellis w/ @NicolleDWallace
The Supreme Court's recent rulings were sadly predictable for anyone who understands the hard-right agenda. Their goal has always been to install Justices whose job is to turn back the clock on our freedoms, on decades of constitutional decisions, and on our continuing struggle to “form a more perfect union” that includes all of us.
Let's vote out their political enablers and rein in the dark, subversive money that supports them in their quest to reverse a century of progress.
I’m personally devastated by the Supreme Court Decision on Affirmative Action.
The brilliant dissent by Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson crystallizes the complete detachment of an extremist right-wing Court to the basic realities & continuing legacy of race & wealth in America.
