We’re told privatization is the only way to save NYCHA.
I don’t buy it.
New Yorkers shouldn’t have to trade public accountability for basic repairs. Public housing was built to serve residents not private developers.
Public housing belongs to the people and should be managed, owned, and ran by the public sector alone.
I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of @MMViverito Melissa Mark-Viverito.
Melissa didn’t just hold office, she helped redefine what leadership could look like in New York City. As a Puerto Rican woman, an organizer, and a champion for working-class communities, immigrants, and public housing residents, she opened doors that many said would never open.
Her endorsement means so much because we are living through a moment when authentic community leadership is too often being pushed aside. Across our city, we are watching institutions reward candidates who are disconnected from the neighborhoods they seek to represent, while organizers, tenants, immigrants, and lifelong community leaders are told to wait their turn or move out of the way.
But our communities deserve representatives who are rooted here. People who have lived the struggles they seek to address. People who show up before the cameras arrive and remain after they leave.
This campaign is proof that the future of Lower Manhattan will not be decided for our communities, it will be decided by them.
Thank you, Melissa, for your trust, your leadership, and for helping pave the way for a new generation of leaders who understand that our job is not to inherit power, but to build it alongside our communities.
Seguimos adelante. ✊🏽🇵🇷
I’m honored to earn the endorsement of Communications Workers of America Local 1180.
CWA 1180 represents the public servants who keep our city running every single day, workers who process benefits, support families, maintain essential services, and ensure government works for the people. Their members understand that strong public institutions don’t happen by accident. They happen because working people fight for them.
This endorsement means so much because it comes from workers who know what it means to serve our communities with dignity, professionalism, and heart. As a lifelong Lower Manhattan resident, labor ally, bargaining steward, and organizer, I have always believed that when workers have a seat at the table, our communities are stronger.
Together, we’re fighting for a New York where public services are fully funded, workers are respected, families can afford to stay in the neighborhoods they helped build, and government delivers for everyday people.
Thank you to the members and leadership of CWA 1180 for your trust and support. I’m proud to stand alongside you in this campaign and in the fight for a more just, equitable, and worker-centered New York.
Let’s win this together. ✊🏽 @CWA1180
KNOW THE TRUTH, #2:
While Democrats across our district were bracing for the impact of a new Trump administration, my opponent chose a different path: sending the president a “heartfelt” message of praise and support.
Public Housing shouldn’t come with fine print, pressure, or confusion. Especially now when families are already living in a state of neglect.
We were never responsible for the $80 billion capital fund backlog, it was City Hall, Albany and Washington who stayed complacent in letting public housing rot. Let it be clear, the private sector is not the answer to this crisis. Our homes aren’t profit models. Join Us Tomorrow, Saturday May 30th at 10AM at 318 Madison Street, Vladeck Houses. LES. #nycha
Join us this Saturday May 30th at 10 AM at the Vladeck Houses, where NYCHA residents, tenant leaders, and advocates are coming together to speak the truth about the future of public housing in our city!
It’s time to break down the new Housing Plan pushed forward by the Mayor and make sure residents understand exactly what’s at stake.

The last few days, we’ve been postering, speaking to voters and ensuring folks know there’s an election 32 days away. Rudy spoke to me about immigration and climate resiliency. And our youngest citizen was so excited to meet me. Said she saw our posters leading to her school. She asked what I was running for and what that position entails. I told her that I was the one excited to meet her, she was in the shop helping her mom, watching her sister, and interested in how government works.
Election Day is Tuesday, June 23rd and Early Voting is Saturday, June 13-21!
What a jam packed weekend. Had a blast speaking with families at The Taste of Tribeca and supporting my niece’s school PS 150 and PS 234! Then off to Canvass on Grand Street. Grateful for a beautiful Sunday at SDR Park and shout out to PS 2 for joining in beautifying the park!
I am deeply honored to earn the endorsement of the Alliance of South Asian American Labor. @ASAAL08
ASAAL has spent years fighting for working people, immigrant communities, labor rights, civic participation, and multiracial solidarity across New York. Their work reflects the belief that when communities come together across cultures and backgrounds, we build real power for working-class people.
Thank you, ASAAL, for believing in our campaign and in the vision we are building together for Lower Manhattan and New York State.
Together, we will continue fighting for workers, immigrants, public housing residents, and the future every family deserves.

Proud to endorse @JasminSanchezNY for AD 65. As an educator and champion for social, racial, environmental & economic justice, Jasmin knows how to organize, govern, and deliver for Lower Manhattan. She’ll be a powerful advocate for working families in Albany.
And now back to work fighting for an affordable NYC, tenant protections, climate solutions, and quality healthcare for all 💪💪💪
Chip in to help this incredible grassroots campaign:

Today we faced another desperate stunt by Illapa Sairitupac & the DSA to silence a real working class candidate, one rooted in this community, not just during an election cycle & once again, they LOST.
A referee ruled in my favor.
A judge ruled in my favor.
And now an appellate court of FIVE judges ruled in my favor too.
Enough is enough.
I’m still here. Still on the ballot. Still fighting for the community that raised me.
Because homegrown leadership can’t be bullied, bought, or pushed aside.
This campaign belongs to the people who built this community, stayed in this community, & never stopped fighting for this community.
Now let’s continue the work & let’s show that real grassroots power beats political gatekeeping every single time. @Ali_Najmi I never lost hope with you by my side. 💪🏾
KNOW THE TRUTH, #1:
In September 2025, my opponent joined Republican @CurtisSliwa to open his Brooklyn campaign office and said on stage: “we are here to support the best candidate for us - the people’s mayor - who is going to fight for you”
Honored to have the endorsement of Hon. C. Virginia Fields in this race for State Assembly. I’ll never forget that in the days after 9/11, Virginia came directly to my home at Southbridge Towers to deliver supplies and support to residents during one of our community’s hardest moments. That kind of leadership, compassion, and commitment to people is something I’ve always carried with me. I’m deeply grateful for her support and proud to have her standing with our campaign.
Big Endorsement Alert: ✨Today, my heart is full of gratitude to receive the endorsement of Congresswoman @ReElectNydia@NydiaVelazquez
My parents migrated to New York from Puerto Rico carrying little more than hope, sacrifice, and the belief that their children deserved opportunity and dignity. Growing up on the Lower East Side, seeing Nydia Velázquez in Congress meant something deeply personal to families like mine. From 1993-2022, she represented Lower Manhattan with courage, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to working people, immigrants, Puerto Ricans, NYCHA residents, and those too often ignored by power.
As a young Puerto Rican girl from the projects, it mattered to see someone who looked like me in leadership. It reminded me that our stories, our struggles, and our communities belonged in the halls of power too.
Nydia’s legacy is not just one of representation, but of fighting relentlessly for justice, affordability, democracy, and the people of this city. I am honored by her faith in me, and I carry this endorsement with deep responsibility.
I will continue building on that legacy for Lower Manhattan, for New York City, and for New York State by fighting every day for working families, public housing residents, immigrants, youth, and all those who deserve to be seen, heard, and protected.
Gracias, Congresswoman Velázquez. Your example helped shape generations of Puerto Rican leaders, including me.

We’re standing in a moment in New York where homes are being deliberately preyed on and taken.
I was proud to stand with the NYSBLT Task Force as we advanced a comprehensive package to tackle deed theft at every level—prevention, enforcement, legal support, homeowner notification, and accountability.
As someone who represents a district where too many families have been targeted, I’m encouraged to see this crisis finally getting the attention it deserves.
My bill, A.9172, gives victims a clear path to go to court, recover their homes, and hold bad actors accountable.
