BREAKING: LOL! Trump flies into a total panic over the Reflecting Pool algae as a leaked email reveals that his administration has labeled it a "national priority" and is scrambling to hire cleaners.

This has turned into one of his defining disasters...

According to an email obtained by MeidasTouch, National Park Service employees have been informed that "additional personnel" are being recruited to "assist immediately" with "critical pre-July 4th operational needs" at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.

This new development is just the latest humiliation for Trump in this never-ending pool saga. First, he wasted $13 million "renovating" the pool in a desperate bid to shore up some kind of physical legacy for himself. Then, when disgusting green algae bloomed in the pool, he sent in workers to vacuum up the growth. When that failed, he had his minions dump hydrogen peroxide in, which only resulted in more discoloration.

With his big July 4th celebrations just around the corner, he's desperate to fix the problem. The email explains that workers are needed for 12-hour shifts performing “scrubbing and pump out operations." It describes the problem as a "regional and national priority."

Yet again, we see Trump focusing on something that doesn't matter at all while Americans struggle to afford groceries and gas. There has never been a more checked out, lazy, out-of-touch President.

On top of that, this is another reminder of this man's staggering incompetence. He made a huge deal out of cleaning up and beautifying the pool and now he can't even manage that.

My friend Jamie Raskin is one of the most careful and principled people in Congress. So when he says the director of the FBI may be running a taxpayer funded slush fund, I pay attention.

Here is what he found.

Kash Patel directed more than $1 million in bonus payments to a small circle of agents in his inner circle and on his security detail.

Some were getting nearly $8,000 every two weeks on top of salaries that were already maxed out at the federal ceiling. A number of them collected close to $40,000 over consecutive pay periods.

The payments came so fast that the FBI’s bonus reserve accounts ran dry and some checks bounced.

So who got the money?

Agents on Patel’s so-called "director’s advisory team."

That is the unit created in 2025 and described internally as a payback squad, built to dig up dirt on the law enforcement officials who investigated Trump and his allies.

Raskin has given Patel until June 29 to account for every payment, every recipient, and any internal review of whether this was even legal.

BREAKING: GAUNTLET THROWN! Gavin Newsom's top lawyer demands that acting Attorney General Todd Blanche investigate Trump after the Justice Department began probing the governor and his wife.

This is a brilliant countermove...

“Calling this investigation a fishing expedition is actually too generous. If your commitment to rooting out corruption were serious, the enormous resources that you have poured into this investigation looking for a crime that does not exist would be focused elsewhere," legal affairs secretary David Sapp wrote to Blanche.

Not content to leave it at that, Sapp also requested immediate access to “all documents and records including but not limited to memoranda, emails, text messages, and Signal messages” related to the sham investigation into the governor.

He added that Blanche should instead turn his attention to "the open-air corruption market that the White House has become.” The fact that there is a tradition of not prosecuting a sitting president is “no excuse for ignoring open and notorious corruption by his family and those around him.”

“The United States Department of Justice selectively leaked uncorroborated details about ongoing investigative matters involving the Governor and First Partner, so it should not be a problem for you to confirm whether US DOJ has opened any investigations into the instances of apparent public corruption detailed above involving the President and his allies,” concluded Sapp.

On Monday, Newsom revealed that the Justice Department has begun investigating him and his wife in a blatant attempt to waylay his possible presidential run. It represents just the latest instance of Trump weaponizing the DOJ — a once hallowed nonpartisan institution — to go after his political enemies. It's the kind of thing we once believed could only happen in tinpot dictatorships.

"He isn't coming after me because of mean tweets, but because I am considering running for President," Newsom stated. "He hates that I consistently call him out. He is simply the most corrupt President in American history. We have nothing to hide Mr. President, come after me. I am not going anywhere. The country is watching."

Of course, the chances of Blanche actually turning around and investigating his boss are precisely zero. Blanche is a MAGA hatchet man to the core. He'd sooner reduce the DOJ's credibility to ashes than actually do his job on behalf of the American people.

That said, this messaging from Newsom's camp is incredibly important. We can't allow this White House's corruption to become normalized. Just because Trump and his cronies refuse to stop breaking the law doesn't mean we should stop calling it out!

BREAKING: JD Vance just accidentally confirmed the DIRTY SECRET about Trump's Iran deal.

JD Vance went on CBS News and tried to spin Donald Trump's Iran deal. Instead, he CONFIRMED exactly how badly Trump got fleeced.

• And strict limits capping enrichment at 3.7%

TRUMP'S IRAN DEAL:
• $24 BILLION in unfrozen assets and cash
• A $300 BILLION reconstruction fund
• Lifted sanctions
• In exchange for an "opened Strait" under Iran and Oman's control

Read those numbers again. Trump is handing Iran roughly FOURTEEN TIMES the unfrozen cash Obama did — plus a $300 billion reconstruction windfall — after starting a war that nobody wanted, spiking gas prices, and killing the existing ceasefire because he found negotiations "boring." AND the deal just kicks what happens with Iran's uranium stockpile to future negotiations!

Republicans screamed for YEARS that Obama "gave Iran billions" and "appeased the mullahs." They called his deal treasonous. They tore it up. And now their guy is giving Iran an order of magnitude MORE money for a far weaker arrangement.

But here's the part Vance accidentally revealed. He warned that Iranian hardliners would "over-emphasize the benefits that Iran gets while under-emphasizing all the things they have to concede."

That's PROJECTION. Because it's the TRUMP administration that's been over-emphasizing the "wins" while burying the $24 billion, the $300 billion fund, the lifted sanctions, and the fact that the strategic Strait would fall under Iranian and Omani control. Vance is accusing Iran of doing EXACTLY what his own administration is doing — hiding the real terms of the deal from the public.

The man who promised to be tougher than Obama on Iran just handed Tehran the biggest payday in its history — after dragging America into a war first.

$1.7 billion versus $324 billion. That's the difference between Obama's "terrible" deal and Trump's "great" one.

Someone should mention that.

A bombshell NYT article just dropped with shocking new information from inside the Oval Office over the past year.

According to the Times, in April of last year, Stephen Miller — a known proponent of Project 2025 and the Heritage Foundation's "unitary executive theory" — proposed that the White House simply pretend Trump had "the power to suspend habeas corpus." However, a loyalist attorney shut him down.

After ICE gunned two American citizens down in cold blood in Minneapolis earlier this year, JD Vance also floated invoking the Insurrection Act, per the Times.

Even legal counsel Will Scharf, described by the paper as an "arch-conservative lawyer serving as the White House staff secretary," sought to quash the unconstitutional proposals, as detailed in several top-secret memos.

"But the documents reflected alarm among a small group of senior aides," the Times wrote.

"[White House insiders] felt that Mr. Miller’s eagerness to test the limits of executive power — and to accuse other branches of encroaching on it, echoing a president who bristled at any constraint — risked steering the administration, and the country, in a dangerous direction."

This administration is looking for any opportunity to unlawfully seize power as their coalition collapses and their support tanks in real time.

November is rapidly approaching, and they know it may be now or never — but that is not a given. Remember this when you vote.

Newsom slammed Trump for turning the "levers of government" into "his own personal power ministries to reward cronies and to try to jail his opponents." He pointed to the fact that Todd Blanche, a former personal attorney of Trump's, is now heading the Justice Department as clear evidence of the corruption.

And we couldn't agree more. The Justice Department was once a firewalled institution, kept separate and independent from the Oval Office despite technically being a part of the Executive Branch. Under Trump, that independence has been totally stripped away and the DOJ has been transformed into a weapon of political retribution. One need look no further than the manufactured investigations into James Comey, Letitia James, and Adam Schiff for proof of that.

"He sent them after Tim Walz," continued Newsom. "And a woman that a jury found Donald Trump had sexually abused. One by one, anyone who has challenged Donald Trump has ended up on his hit list."

"And today, I proudly join that list," he went on. "After calling for my arrest last year, Donald Trump directed his Department of Justice to investigate me. And just in the last week, I've learned that his campaign has reached my own home."

"To get me, he's coming after my wife, Jen. A public servant. A woman who's dedicated her life to supporting women and girls," said Newsom. Was in ihrer Erklärung praktisch nicht vorkommt: politische Verantwortung. Seit Jahren wissen wir, dass Lehrkräfte fehlen. Seit Jahren wissen wir, dass Bildungserfolg in Deutschland stärker von der Herkunft abhängt als in vielen anderen Ländern. Seit Jahren wird über Sanierungsstau, Personalmangel & Unterfinanzierung diskutiert. Aber wenn es konkret wird, sollen wieder die Umstände schuld sein.
Vielleicht wäre es an der Zeit, auch einmal darüber zu sprechen, warum die Politik all diese Probleme seit Jahren kennt und trotzdem nicht löst.

Aber man sollte dabei nicht so tun, als sei das eigentliche Problem, dass China einen Plan hatte.

Das eigentliche Problem ist:

China hatte Industriepolitik.
Deutschland hatte Exportstolz.

Und jetzt wundert sich der Exportstolz, dass Industriepolitik gewinnt.
