@Eleazartheone@Obsessive_Gamer ok, I didn't realize it was only Europe. I must've forgot that detail in the IGN article back in June.
Or that India is only JUST about to get access to the Switch 1 after 9 years.
It'll definitely outsell PS2 with a 1.48 billion population country just about to get access to it
@Obsessive_Gamer So with the Switch 2 selling faster than any other console has in their first year, PC gaming being incredibly expensive with RAM and SSD prices, and the competition in the console area not doing great, the Switch 2 has everything in its favor to be the console to outsell PS2.
@Obsessive_Gamer And looking at how Xbox barely has any exclusives now, and Sony going all digital, I think a lot more people are going to switch to Nintendo for gaming (if they don't have the budget for a gaming PC).
Here is where it all began...
🔸The original soundtrack of an imaginary Metroid movie, “Metroid: Part One” releases in 2027. Now in development.🔸

@Nin10Nostalgia idk about next, but maybe Twilight Princess for the Zelda 40th anniversary sometime this year, or maybe near the release of the Zelda movie next year, seeing how they put Wind Waker on there, instead of porting the HD version from Wii U.
@SwitchRadar The average competitive player who plays the franchises considered "masculine" to play, like guns (GTA & CoD) and sports ball, is not typically the player looking for single-player (no people to compete against) story adventure game with puzzles to solve.
@SwitchRadar Also, the audiences for these games don't have much overlap.
The type of person who plays sports ball video games, Call of Duty, and GTA, is *usually* not the same type of person to buy Nintendo consoles for the first Party Nintendo franchises.
The Switch 1 will be discontinued in February, only being 4mil fewer total consoles sold than PS2.
Steam Deck, PC, Sony, & Microsoft are all increasing already high prices.
This doubling down on top of all that has me thinking the Switch 2 will be the console to outsell the PS2
Sony says that they have heard the backlash about their move to no longer manufacture game discs but they will still continue their plans.
“There are various reasons we made this decision, the biggest being that digitalisation of contents overall has been progressing, that’s the big factor.”

@_MissClick_ Avatar. It was so much more immersive in theatre, both from a large screen, but also it was in 3D.
It came out I think during the 3D TV trend, which would've made it cooler to watch at home if those were still around.
For anyone that is at all concerned about Metroid Prime 5, I wouldn't worry.
Look at what Retro did with Tropical Freeze, they looked at all the things wrong with DKCR and finetuned it to make one of the greatest 2D Platformers of all time with Tropical Freeze
Now think about The Hobbit level of production woes Prime 4 had. Retro never even got to make Prime 4 truly from scratch as they had to salvage a lot of Bandai Namco's initial concepts. Retro have still got it, the Ice Belt section is proof of that.
(DISCLAIMER: I have no idea if Metroid Prime 5 is being worked on currently, I always ASSUMED it was the most logical thing, but a lot of idiots have deliberately misquoted me saying I have confirmed it, which was never the case.)
