JUST IN: Elon Musk unveils the Tesla Roadster by launching it off a ramp before the car flipped in midair and safely landed on the ground.
The car is a collaboration between Tesla and SpaceX.
One of the most insane things I've ever seen.
Couldn’t be more excited to get this partnership going! Looking forward to growing the Ole Miss brand with @adidas. Going to be a fun ride. Let’s go! 🔴🔵
Man, the lions have been bad most of my life but idk if I’ve ever seen them actually have the worst defense in the NFL. Even in the 0-16 year, at least the defense was competitive.
OXFORD, MISSISSIPPI, and HER TWO COURTHOUSES
"But above all, the Courthouse: The center, the focus, the hub; sitting looming in the center of the County's circumference like a single cloud in its ring of horizon, laying its vast shadow to the uttermost rim of the horizon; musing, brooding, symbolic and ponderable, tall as a cloud, solid as a rock, dominating all"
William Faulkner - Requiem For A Nun, 1950
The original Courthouse (1840) on the left, during the December 1862 yankee occupation of Oxford. Shown are yankee wagons and tents. It was burned on August 22, 1864, by Union General A. J. Smith, because he could not catch Confederate General Forrest. This is the only picture we have of the original Lafayette County Courthouse. It was taken by a Northern photographer following the Union Army.
The "new" Courthouse, on the right, built in 1872, with federal money. It still is in use today, with two 1920's added wings. The exact plan for this courthouse was also used by the same contractor in Holly Springs, Mississippi, and in Bolivar, Tennessee. All three counties are on the old Mississippi central Railroad, in a row, North to South!
