To make your gym truly feel like home to your family (your clients), think to what you actually do when your family come to your home, and create the same feeling at your gym.

We all know the training isn't meant to be particularly comfortable. But that's all the more reason to have comfortable non-training spaces (P.S. If they stick around, you'll be able to make the money you "lost" on coffee back on snacks and other secondary spend) #coachthehuman

Coffee is never just about coffee. Coffee reflects hospitality. It's the first thing you offer when your friends come into your home. Given the disproportionate impact and symbolism a cup of coffee has - consider the "price" of charging for it, vs the "price" of giving it free.

Show genuine personal interest. Acknowledge their emotions "You seem happy" "You seem worried" "You seem sad". These are totally OK to say - you've not offended them, and if they have, you may have picked up on something fundamental to how they are showing up today #coachthehuman

When you have friends and family to your home. You greet them at door, take their coats, and warmly, and personally usher them in. The greeting at your gym should feel like that too. Have a human front of house and make sure it feels less like gatekeeping and more like welcoming.

Ask simple questions that are 5 words or less.

"How was that?"
"Which reps felt better?"
"What happened that time?"
"Did you notice a difference?"
"What worked well there?

Any longer, and you risk the chance of them being leading questions.
