@MercifulOutlaw less clumsy? You’re gonna end up killing m—… Us…”
As in: Wolfwood, Milly and herself. Definitely not just Meryl. But before he could try to point out just how obvious she made her own concern, she lifted the bedsheets and motioned for him to get under them.
@MercifulOutlaw A heavy sigh followed her words, then a gentle poke on his side. Right as they reached the bed, she turned her head up and tried to avoid the obvious. A genetically built in ‘gun’ she didn’t need to look at when he nearly died on her.
“Can you at least try to be a little—
@MercifulOutlaw you need to. Maybe… We should get you to the bed to lay down. The shower can wait.”
Lest he slips again and makes things even worse for himself. A thought she had to shake away as she started to (attempt to) pull him up.
“Slowly.”
@MercifulOutlaw maybe if I had been a little closer…”
She trailed off as she soaked one end of the towel to dab on the back of his head. Watching for any more bleeding, but thankfully it seemed his body was already in the process of healing that cut.
“Can you get up? You can lean on me if—
“Unfortunately I don’t see any other responsible adults around tonight…”
and they were acquainted so it didn’t help her case at all.
“A bag…? A bag of what? Bring the stray jacket instead. He might need it more.”
"....Please tell me that's not me."
She meant her, didn't she? Crap. The woman wasn't too far off the mark, but still!
"Ugh, whatever fine. I'll go get a bag."
To put him in? Yes.
@MercifulOutlaw really become 25/8!”
Because 24/7 was no longer enough.
“Do you feel lightheaded? Don’t pass out on me… Don’t stand up. Stay… Just until I know you’re okay.”
@MercifulOutlaw studied his face with fingers resting along his cheek.
“You’re bleeding.”
It was a simple statement, but the gravity in her tone was evident.
“Dammit—Dammit…! You can’t even be careful in the shower. When I said my job was to keep an eye on you, I didn’t think it would—
She’s been cooked, but maybe she missed the confession scene a couple tweets back.
“Don’t talk about me like I’m actually dead!”
Granted. It took them a couple of years to actually get this far. Slowest burn ever.
