I’ve been saying it for a while - we tax money made with money at a lower rate than we tax money made with a pair of hands. There’s no good reason why, it enriches the already rich, adds to the growing wealth gap, and makes the government less able to spend on public services like health, education, and transport - things upon which all wealth earning is based.

Silicon Valley has rebranded triple-digit interest debt-trap payday loans that exploit workers and communities of color, deceptively labeling it ‘Earned Wage Advance.’
These companies appear to be operating in New York unchecked.
