@bt_uk This is shocking. My 94 yr old Nanna with dementia is in hospital so I went to her flat to try and help with her bills - £588 pounds per quarter! This is unethical robbery of the vulnerable 🤯🤯 Everyone in my family pays less than £20 a month for unlimited calls and WiFi
She can't even turn the TV on - £60 pounds for subscriptions she NEVER uses ... she phoned my mum constantly for help, that's it. This quarter bill was 3 x her usual cost but no alert or check in despite my mum being her point of contact as she does not have capacity
A new Scientific Impact Paper on the care of the newborn and cord during the third stage of labour is open for consultation.
The draft is open for comments until midnight (UK time) on Monday 1 September.

International Day of the Midwife 2025 a day to remember the impact midwives have on the lives of women and families across the UK and the globe. Thank you to all the midwifery staff working today 🤩@MidwivesRCM
Happy International Day of the Midwife to the amazing midwifery team @EKMaternity and to my wonderful midwifery colleagues everywhere. A day to reflect and celebrate. Special shout out to @MaternitySash still think of you!
Delighted to see @world_midwives CE Anna at the @MidwivesRCM ❤️ The UK needs the support of the global midwifery community more than ever at the mo 🙏 Together we can stand strong for women ❤️ #IDM2025
An absolute honour and privilege to meet Anna af Ugglas CEO of the International Confederation of Midwives ahead of her powerful lecture at #RCMconf25@world_midwives@MidwivesRCM@RcmNi
This isn’t a mistake, or a bad policy decision, it’s a betrayal of every mother, baby and midwife. On the eve of the @MidwivesRCM annual conference this feels especially cruel and sends a devastating message to the midwives holding the system together.
📢📢A pragmatic approach to implement a practical #midwifery curriculum in low-resource settings. Regular mentoring of educators in life-saving EmONC skills leads to competent midwifery graduates & maternal & newborn health outcomes @UNFPA@world_midwives@WHO@NCKenya@LSTMnews
The @all4maternity podcast I recorded with the lovely @sheena_byrom has been published.
We discuss the work I've done to improve maternity services over the past 11 years and why I'm so passionate about personalised care and informed decision-making.
