Just in time for your center as you implement a late-window EVT 6-24H clinical screen - learn about our RN-led model screening protocol for #ELVO in #Stroke#Thrombectomy#MedEd#FoamED#FoamCC#ELVO#LVO@CMHawkes@LowylNotario@neuroresuslab
We believe in RN-led screening, because RN's are stellar are SOPs, and standardized approaches + safety net to call the stroke staff prior to activation if in doubt. At your local center they would call your local ED staff or your local Neurology to decide to activate a code stroke when in doubt - otherwise it will be a binary Go or No-Go for Code Stroke @ 6-24H Late Thrombectomy Window. We have QI/PDSA and QA our approach - get in touch @neuroccm if interested in learning more

This is awesome! Kudos - I am delighted to see @Ornge + colleagues sharing their expertise in this realm - from esteemed field resuscitation, retrieval, and EM colleagues. In what we have pioneered as “code stroke resuscitation” at @Sunnybrook we deploy all aspects of crisis resource management to care for our neurovascular patients. It would be awesome to do a collaboration with you and @strokefm, as we aim to elevate and harmonize handover and communication across teams with synergy across other acute disciplines that intersect in the ED and critical care environments.
#Stroke knows no boundaries - stay #healthy, work toward better health and #fitness, and if disability strikes, then work hard to recover as much as possible - and keep the spirit alive.
