@nexta_tv So much for showing strength to Putin on the basis it is the only thing he understands. The Pentagon appears to be taking the submissive approach to dealings with the Kremlin. Sooner Trump is gone the better.
Govt new CGT & trust tax is a brutal own-goal on Australian charities.
Albanese’s raid replaces the 50% CGT discount with CPI indexation + a punitive 30% minimum tax floor, while smashing discretionary trusts with the same 30% rate. Result? Charitable donors and family trusts who fund Salvation Army, Foodbank, St Vincent de Paul and tens of thousands of other charities get hammered 🔨. Less capital gains to give, less money to give. Donations slashed.
Classic Labor Govt: punish success, “soak the rich,” and watch the vulnerable starve while pretending it’s “fairness.”
Charities bleeding because bureaucrats can’t do basic math. Absolute policy failure. This new CGT must be stopped!

A tourist filmed what it’s like to be on a sinking ship
The incident happened back in April on the cruise ship Fiji Princess. The vessel ran aground near the coast of Fiji in the Pacific Ocean and began taking on water.
At the time, there were 30 passengers and 31 crew members on board. Everyone was evacuated.
However, one tourist named Mana Isaiya managed to walk through the corridor of the sinking ship.
He later said it was “the most unforgettable and coolest” vacation of his life.
@washingtonpost Mike Johnson loses control of the House. Trump's lap dog argued that Trump alone should continue to deal with the issue, even though Trump is clearly on the side of the murderous Putin.
@Osinttechnical Poke in the eye for Trump and his lap dog Speaker who pleaded with GOP members to oppose the bill and let Trump continue to deal alone with the war.
@dailytelegraph Little known fact. Way back, the Guardian in the UK counselled its Moscow correspondent because he wasn't sufficiently enthusiastic about the Stalinist regime. Their readers expected more sympathetic news about Stalin and his regime, said The Guardian to its reporter.
More than a dozen GOP lawmakers defied their own leadership — and President Donald Trump — by voting with Democrats to approve a major bill to deliver billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine while imposing steep sanctions on Russia. https://t.co/VIh0VHbc7A
