Global gas prices are dictating current energy prices, Scotland and Englands gas is priced based on open market value and would be even if independent

@JuanTu81993858 @AndrewGijo Yes, England dictates that billions are spent on Scotlands renewable projects and subsequent subsidies. Imagine if tens of millions of english bill payers were no longer contributing and the revenue directed elsewhere to other renewable projects

@JuanTu81993858 @AndrewGijo Oh and by the way, England doesn't have a separate energy policy, nor do Scotland or Wales etc, it's a GB wide policy so all the talk of "we supply them" is completely irrelevant, everyone on this island pay green levies for renewable projects

@JuanTu81993858 @AndrewGijo Yes because we have wind again 🤦‍♂️ do try to keep up. Nuclear and hydro alone absolutely can not provide all of Scotlands demand and during those calm conditions, the North of Scotland was fully dependant on Peterhead gas power station.

@JuanTu81993858 @AndrewGijo I clearly pointed out to you that we only export when the wind is blowing and as I clearly stated, for almost 2 weeks our wind was producing less than 15% it's capacity, and as per the screen shots, we were infact importing from rest of GB.

@JuanTu81993858 @AndrewGijo It's between 5-6 percent when our wind is producing, hardly the "vast amounts" that so many claim. Btw, our lights are being kept on by imports from Wales and England just now, and have been for several werks.
