@HoneyBeesUK I chose my first out apiary for the 2 acres of Buddleja that surrounded it.
For 3yrs they almost starved in summer, so i relocated them by 2.5 miles last spring . Now im wondering if i missed out on a bumper Buddleja harvest lol
@RDBKA1 I'd be concerned that the low drop is because this year you have much more brood in your hives because of how mild its been. I'd want a 2nd treatment( a good idea anyway) to confirm.
@calluna4u@ChorltonHoney Not had that problem (yet) and there's hordes of reds here. Mind you the strap on mine is heavier than ive seen on beehives normally, marine grade stainless ratchets too. A handy trade connection means they're free anyway
@calluna4u@ApidaeHoney@ArtisanHoneyCo Dont i know it( but i take some tying down to a stake) The time has come to change circles i reckon. Your 20 packages have become 120 in 3 seasons. BFA membership is overdue.
@calluna4u@ApidaeHoney@ArtisanHoneyCo I can certainly vouch for that. The packages i got from you more than covered the cost of bees and hives witb what they brought in late summer and on heather in that first season( which i hadnt expected at all).
Definitely a winner as a first step in expanding !
@kmqkatie@InLimboBrexit @movem2017 And a dream that will remain a dream for the vast majority of future generations, in or out of the EU .
You must be so proud to have been able to fulfil your dream on the back of EU banks raping the country.
@BizzleBugs@B_J_Sherriff Or alternatively, using computers to identify the effects of the problems weve caused, in order to create solutions to the ones we cant fix immediately
@calluna4u@vcelky@cranimal1 And always will be for the hobbyist market i reckon.
I'll keep the nationals ive got for producing nucs, but most increase is commercial hives now, just about big enough for single brood and the BS compatible footprint is a plus.
