@Sukidovi @QcWynter It's not a licence to 'take bookings for drivers' either. That's a third-tier 'booking office' licence, which relates to premises.

First two tiers are driver's licence ('badge') and vehicle or operator's licence ('plate'). Former was suspended, latter is the one in dispute.

In England, in recent years vetting of third tier booking office proprietors and employees tightened up post-Rotherham etc.

His *driver's* licence ('badge') was suspended. Badge and plate licensing dates back decades.

@hightreebud @MenAtWork_MC @HighlandCouncil You mean his taxi *driver's* licence suspended in 2024. A 'taxi licence' per se refers to vehicle licence, thus synonymous with operator's licence - the licence in dispute.

In informal terms, his *badge* was suspended (and won't be renewed), while his *plate* now being disputed.

Other than that, the whole issue in the thread here (and the matter more generally) lies in the usual conflation and confusion between the driver's licence and vehicle licence.

Girls' age means how weapons charge was disposed of isn't public domain.
