Did you know you don’t need an appointment to get a COVID-19 vaccine? You can just walk-in or drive-up to any of the six community vaccination sites! The clinics are all across the state. Look them up here: https://t.co/Cui5qAGxp6 or call 877-CO-VAX-CO.

@saucio03@weijia This is prior to Jan 6th, 2021. The date on the tweet is from March of 2020, so one year ago.
Also, "Biden WH" was only a thing starting Jan 20th 2021, inauguration day. The 6th was the attack on the capitol.
@sandoly@renaissancebarb@ariehkovler Although, yes, technically speaking, if someone did run way less cycles in an attempt to reduce numbers, that would be possible. I imagine that not only violates the country or who's guidelines but is also a cardinal sin of science, to change a variable like that and not say so

Vaccine ≠ virus blocker
It's meant to increase antibodies and reduce negative outcomes. The health experts in israel are still cautioning to wear masks and take other protocols to prevent spread
@sandoly@renaissancebarb@ariehkovler The table in the tweet lists "tested positive in the last week" whereas your article doesn't list a timeframe, that might be a reason for the discrepancies? Otherwise, I'd need to find out your article's sour e and the OG tweet's sources.
@sandoly@renaissancebarb@ariehkovler Just reading through the article you shared, it said that "69 people who got the second dose of the vaccine tested positive" which doesn't seem to contradict the info in the original tweet. Is there a part of your linked article I'm missing?
@JessPected@JCOnABike@oneunderscore__ I'm proud of your Dad for having the strength to do that. It sounds like it was great for your family in the long run.
@JessPected@JCOnABike@oneunderscore__ I can see and understand that, and I'm sorry if I made it sound like I wanted you to give everyone you disagreed with all of your time and effort. It's not a one person job, you're right. It's also not a decision you can make for another person, you're totally right.
@JCOnABike@JessPected@oneunderscore__ I'm not advocating for "kumbayah". Any strategy to dismantle the system that produced the people radical enough to attack the capitol should at least consider de-radicalizing the people who can be de-radicalized as part of a larger arsenal or tools to make change
@JessPected@JCOnABike@oneunderscore__ 1) thanks for sticking with this thread for so long, I appreciate the commitment to conversation
2) I think what you mentioned were real, tangible, and demonstrably effective things to do (deplatforming, making life harder, etc.). So thank you for your commitment to that as well
@JessPected@JCOnABike@oneunderscore__ So if I join you in actively making life harder for them, or at least don't get in your way when you do so, is it okay if I keep having conversations with them about where they're getting their info from and what consequences their actions have? I don't want to get in your way
@JessPected@JCOnABike@oneunderscore__ One of the ways to dismantle the system that produces both the beliefs and the community that supports those beliefs is to de-radicalize the people we can.
@JessPected@JCOnABike@oneunderscore__ Again, if they are doing things that perpetuate the flawed system in any way it needs to be fought, and that means having consequences, and also preventative measures so we don't end up with bigots acting on their terrible beliefs
