Spent today looking more into my Kickstarter promotion strategies. I received a message today on Tumblr from a shady individual; as soon as I had my doubts, I stopped talking to them. But they did lead me to start thinking more about how to be successful, which I can learn from looking into successful projects.
I also looked to Project We Love, Kickstarter's way of featuring projects that they find exceptional and gets showcased on their homepage and newsletters. I'm hoping to receive that treatment so I've been making notes on those projects as well as Kickstarter's blog on how to get that label.
And lastly, there's my promotional strategy. One key thing that I'm thinking of adding is using a raffle for free rewards to get more followers and thus convert them into backers. If I do this across all my socials, it should be even more effective

Today, I have another preliminary look at one of the teaser gengas: an animation production tool using in drawing anime. This genga is actually connected to one of the scenes I look forward to producing the most + links to why Eira was crying in one of my earlier posts.
I also spent some of today chipping away at getting the trailer done, it's like the last piece I need to get done before the pre-launch page goes live, so it won't be long now.

This time, I'm presenting the completed version of Nora's character profile pic. You can see that her hair has changed in both style and colour, since I initially thought she was going to be older, but after some maths, I figured out she'd be in her thirties. The pose was initially inspired by Simon from Gurren Lagann but normalised a bit since it's a little too silly, considering her character. Also, my character artist also suggested the changes in the colour palette for her clothes which look much better; they presented me with 5-6 different versions. If you'd like to see those versions, it'll probably be on the Kickstarter so consider following to be notified when it drops.

Today was a mixture of tasks; finally got around to completing the list of music that I'll need for the whole visual novel. I feel that there's a certain portion that are very specific which will be the music that I commission. I also began looking to reward production, learning about the best format for high quality rewards, like the use of the CMYK colour profile which is more compatible with printers than RGB + the use of a 3mm bleed to keep any important details on a printed sheet from being cut off. Then lastly, there's the trailer which is coming along: a lot of editing the actual images that I got to make the trailer look cleaner. I'm also considering getting a little animation of my icon for the start of the trailer and for any other trailers I make henceforth.
