Yes, Angel Reese has gotten better and more consistent. That’s the natural development of a young basketball player. But people use “she got better” as if she was never capable of putting up these numbers before.
She’s been producing like this since she entered the league. The difference is, as a young player, she was still figuring out how to do it consistently, and her situation in Chicago wasn’t exactly ideal.
Some of us watched her have these performances from the beginning. We saw the potential, even when everyone else was focused on her lowlights and bad games.
She’s taken another leap in Atlanta, and now she’s doing it on the biggest stage. But don’t rewrite history like she just became this player. Some of us have been watching. 👀

@JonoBarnes Normally I’d agree with you but the way we do things they would skip the rest day then immediately get injured 🤷🏻♂️ hopefully they were watching tape or giving confessions for their sins.
One of my biggest concerns going into this game (aside from Bijan Robinson) for the #Saints was that the moment might be too big. Players and coaches seemed confident that wasn't the case, but the first-half performance suggests otherwise.
20 years later, the return to the Superdome remains one of the most surreal moments.
@MichelleBeisner detailed the story of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and the role the Saints played in its aftermath.
