Why are Oregon electricity bills among the highest in the nation and expected to continue to double again? It's not scarcity. It's regulation.
Watch: The Truth about Oregon's Soaring power bills.
This is what we are up against in Oregon. This last session, a bill was heard that would ban gas powered generators state-wide. In weather like we have just experienced, gas generators can be life-saving.
Instead of banning essential life-saving equipment, we need to invest in a robust, reliable energy infrastructure. And we need secondary energy sources, such as natural gas and backup generators.
Fortunately this bill died in committee after a hearing. But based on all the testimony in support, it will be coming back.
The only way we push back on this far left agenda that is completely out of touch with what most Oregonians want, is to get more balance in the legislature. And in Oregon, that means voting Republican. Your vote matters.

Electricity is increasing this month statewide in the state of Oregon after 2 non-elected PUC bureaucrats approved the increase. (These positions are appointed by the Governor). PGE is a whopping 18% And Pacific Power 11%, but expected to increase again this month. And the @Oregonian just reported we should expect ANOTHER increase from PGE @PGE4Me in April.
Here’s the real story nobody’s bothering to tell you. #greenenergy #orpol #portlandgeneralelectric #climatechange #windenergy #solarenergy

Great news! 👏👏
Remember when the Oregon Republicans blocked cap-and-trade? Governor Brown ignored the legislature, defied the will of the people, and unlawfully pushed it through by rule, calling it the "Climate Protection Plan.". The courts have now weighed in and invalidated the CPP in its entirety.
“The Oregon Court of Appeals found that the Environmental Quality Commission, the policy and rule-making board for the state’s Department of Environmental Quality, did not meet heightened disclosure requirements.
The program mandates ever-increasing cuts in emissions from the state’s natural gas utilities, suppliers of gasoline, diesel, kerosene and propane and large industrial plants.”
I am standing up for the rule of law. I will be pushing for common sense, evidence-based energy and climate action.

Burning Man 2023 update.
Emergency. Rain.
Rain turns the ground of Burning Man, an arid desert playa, into thick, sticky mud, making it difficult for vehicles to move without getting stuck.
More than 70,000 people attend the weeklong event annually, which this year is being held from August 28 to September 4. It's unclear how many of those were stranded due to the weather.
