#DidYouKnow Each Ratha of Puri’s Ratha Jatra has its own distinct colour combination:

A total of 1,250 metres of cloth is used to adorn the three Rathas.

1. Nandighosha (Shree Jagannatha) - Red & Yellow - 425 metres of cloth

2. Taladhwaja (Shree Balabhadra) - Red & Green - 425 metres of cloth

3. Darpadalana (Devi Subhadra) - Red & Black - 400 metres of cloth

These vibrant colours are reflected in the sacred Chanduas that adorn each chariot, making every Ratha instantly recognizable.

Puri-Koraput Express starts its journey from today.

From the sacred shores of Puri to the breathtaking hills of Koraput, a new rail journey begins today.

The tri-weekly train will run from Puri via Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Angul, Sambalpur, Bargarh Road, Balangir, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Muniguda, Rayagada, Kakiriguma and Damanjodi.

From beaches to hills, Odisha is now better connected.
