UK is one of the biggest real estate markets in the world with London being a hotspot for real estate investors globally. There are also a lot of students who move to London and look for student housing. Flashmates has been seeing heavy traffic in the UK and this is why we are putting out an official post that Flashmates is available in the UK for everyone.

- Every listing on the platform is verified and the platform is built to be free from scams. This is important because the real estate industry is heavily abused by scammers. You will never to have to worry about bogus listings. Safety is very important and Flashmates prioritizes this for our users.

- It is free to look for listings and to contact the lister. There is no limit on how many folks you can contact and there is no plan/package you need to purchase. Just visit the platform and start looking. Absolutely free. And we don't have relationship managers. You are in complete control of the process from start to end and most importantly, you are directly in touch with the person who posted the listing.

- Flashmates is the only platform in India that allows both single room listings and sublet listings. If you are a tenant looking for a flatmate/replacement or want to sublet your place, you can post a listing on the platform. It is a very simple process and takes only minutes. Over the last 2 months, @Flashmateshq has been seeing an increase in users from London and other cities across the United Kingdom. Launched a bot @SubletterLondon to help with their short-term housing requests on Twitter as well as created a group for international students in the UK and realized that there is a major demand for all types of housing in the UK. We even have 2 listings from the heart of London on Flashmates. This is why I am excited to share that Flashmates is now available in the UK. Decided to launch in UK after looking at the demand and the interest we got from users on our platform, community and bot.

Updates for @Flashmateshq :

Flashmates is getting good traction from all over the globe now and the last 2 weeks have been quite overwhelming. We now have listings being posted from all over the globe, have people looking for sublets, have students from 10+ countries flocking to the platform and even have people interested in selling homes, commercial real estate and even entire land/plots.

I have been personally reaching out to almost every user who signed-up in the last 2 weeks via mail asking for feedback and how we can improve and got a lot of good response where I received important feedback and insights understanding how housing works in countries like UK, Germany, Netherlands and Nigeria and also how the product can better create value for our users.

Here are some feedback and insights we received:
1. Allow users to track for listings and sign-up as potential buyer/tenant/subletter/roommate/guest.
2. More flexible living options.
3. Show if a listing is pet-friendly.
4. Localized UX
5. Access to data and insights to help people make a better decision on where to rent or buy a property.
And many more.

Will dropping a longer post and a video where I address all these. If you have a feedback or a feature request, you can drop them here in the replies. Ensuring that we a build a product that people want to use to help them with their housing needs is the ultimate goal.
