@AnneTibbets @realdavidsterry He raised me to always look to improve and look for help as a writer, and said not using reviewers as a source was a disservice to myself and them. They took time to read your book, you can at least hear them out. And they may have something good from time to time.

His first review was online, saying how it sucked and he should quit. He responded, asking for tips, and their response was "Oh you read these? It was fine honestly..." 1 of 2
