It was an even greater blessing to have Gauri ji introduce my book for the launch. She had graciously written the Foreword to my book as well.
Jaya Jaya Shankara Hara Hara Shankara
Happy to share that my book was launched at the auspicious premises of Adi Shankara nilayam - the maternal home of Acharya Shankara at Veliyanad near Kochi.
@BluOneInk@dimplekaul_in@IndicaOrg
I was fortunate to have the book launched by great scholars of Vedanta such as Swami Sharadanand ji, Mahamahopadhyaya Sri Mani Dravid sastrigal, Prof. V Ramakrishna Bhatt, Dr K Unnikrishnan and my own dear Prof. Gauri Mahulikar .
This is also believed to have been the place where the Acharya was born given the ancient custom of pregnancies (especially maiden) being taken care of by the mother's house.
Chanakya University’s Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems hosted an insightful book discussion on “Sankarayanam – The Journey of Sankara”, authored by Sri Subramanian Chidambaran, an esteemed Indic research scholar.
The event was graced by Sri Arjun Bharadwaj, renowned author and visiting faculty at Chanakya University, as the Chief Guest. His address offered a crisp overview of Bhāratīya Darśanas (Indic philosophical systems), drawing meaningful contrasts with Western philosophy. He also lauded the author’s contribution in presenting the profound life and teachings of Adi Shankara in a form accessible to today’s readers.
The author, Sri Subramanian Chidambaran, shared the inspiration behind Sankarayanam, reflecting on the spiritual and intellectual journey of Adi Shankara and its timeless relevance.
Prof. Sandeep Nair, Dean of the School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, chaired the session and emphasized the enduring importance of Adi Shankara’s philosophy in our modern world.
The event began with a soulful recitation of Toṭakāṣṭakam by Bhairavi, Anjani, and Sumudyata — students of Chanakya University.
Ms. Utkarsha Deshpande, Research Associate and event coordinator, anchored the session as the MC with grace and clarity.
The discussion concluded with a Book Signing, where attendees had the opportunity to meet the author and receive personalized copies.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating Indic thought and literary excellence!

As a new author, am new to the world of Litfests and have been curiously exploring this space. Was happy to have my book launched this year at the Indoi Chennai Litfest, by Swami Narasimhananda of the Ramakrishna mission - a great orator.

Beyond the Shankara Mutts, we have teachers of Vedanta doing yeoman service in propagating the message of the Acharya. Was happy to share my book with two such masters - Pujyasri Ramanacharana Tirtha and Pujyasri Swami Paramarthananda.

Happy to share that my book was launched in a dedicated event at the Chanakya University. It was heartening to see an excited and enthusiastic group of students and faculty for the event, many of whom received an author-signed copy.

Felt happy presenting a copy of my book to legendary dancer and scholar Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam - an epitome of grace, scholarship, humility, and hospitality. We chatted for nearly an hour on various topics - felt blessed for the opportunity.

@BluOneInk@dimplekaul_in@IndicaOrg My book speaks about the association of Shankara with Guruvayur and Kerala Tantra, especially his codification of the puja-vidhana which was attested by Dineshan Namboodiripad. He also mentioned that Acharya codified puja-vidhana for most big temples in Kerala and also Badrinath.
It was a blessed opportunity, by the grace of Guruvayurappan and Acharya, to meet the Tantri of Guruvayur temple (and several others) Brahmasri Chennas Dineshan Namboodiripad, and present a copy of my book Sankarayanam. (Contd in comments)
@BluOneInk@dimplekaul_in@IndicaOrg
@BluOneInk@dimplekaul_in@IndicaOrg The Chennas family has a great lineage of Tantra wherein Tantra-samucchaya - a compendium of the extant schools on Kerala tantra - was composed by Narayana, one of the illustrious members of this family. Today, almost all temples in Kerala follow Tantra samucchaya.
Happy to share my article on the occasion of the initiation of the 71st Acharya to the illustrious Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham.
May the Shankara parampara continue to flow eternally and united and keep guiding us to protect and propagate Sanatana Dharma.

Felt extremely happy to present a copy of my book to Buddhist monk Ven. Udawela Rewatha & Prof Jayawardhane - HoD of Sanskrit studies at Kelaniya University. My wish is to take this book to dharmic leaders within and outside Sanatana Dharma.
