Gaming Day Brainstorm is a wrap! Two hours and 15 mins of solid discussion on investors’ burning questions! 🎮👾🎉Takes below plus a video glimpse into what @Undergraphics is working on: 1/MEDIA VALUE is player time spent + engagement. But the initial wave of web3 gaming has used a game loop that is short term 1) Collect 2) Hoard or Flip.
Polkadot has the tech to lead web3 gaming, but game devs need better tools to streamline development. How can SAGE benefit the entire ecosystem in the years to come? 🕹️⤵️
✅ Developer Growth: Game developers can build without learning Rust or Substrate storage models.
✅ Cross-Game Composability: Game logic modules can be reused seamlessly across multiple games—build once, use everywhere.
✅ Fully Open-Source: All tools, SDKs, and templates are open-source and usable.
✅ No Proprietary: You choose your path within Polkadot—deploy on any parachain or roll your own when you're ready for production.
✅ Hackathons & Community Growth: The playground is a perfect setup, to launch hackathons and create with the C# ref. games in a matter of hours, including a playable Unity implementation, see Full House Fury commit history.
✅ Blockchain-Native or Hybrid Gaming with Substrate: Games can decide, on the integration type, full on-chain, including the whole game logic on the asset, or solely the asset progression logic, and an off-chain utility, utilizing SAGE as an on-chain asset database.
Hot take: games like Fortnite, Counter-Strike, and WoW would be better with:
- asset ownership
- token economies + DAO's
- cross-game interoperability
@AjunaNetwork built this → it's called SAGE (Substrate Asset Game Engine)
Here's what they're working on now.
1/ Bringing Game Developers to Polkadot with SAGE
The Substrate Asset Game Engine (SAGE) is an open-source framework designed to make blockchain game development on Polkadot more accessible and efficient.
We are requesting 80,000 USDT from the Treasury to finish it. Here’s why SAGE is essential for the ecosystem. 🧵👇
Gavin Wood has successfully executed Doom on-chain at 30fps—while the system is capable of reaching 900fps. This includes not just server logic but full graphics rendering. A second program, running on another core on-chain, read and output the framebuffer.
This is a major milestone for Polkadot JAM: multiple programs can now interact like a true computing environment. A historic moment for blockchain tech. (Sponsored)

BYBIT HACKER LAUNDERING FUNDS
The Bybit Hacker is making 2-3 transactions per minute, and stops every 45 minutes for a 15 minute break. They move ETH from one address at a time, before moving onto the next one.
Did Lazarus get an intern to wash their funds manually?
Hey @coinbase I hope you know that a lot of your users are very frustrated (and often vent their frustrations to me as part of the Nova Wallet team) because you require them to send <1DOT for verification purposes.
If they send less than 1 DOT it automatically gets reaped due to it being below the existential deposit on Polkadot
What do we need to do to fix this? Happy to open up a dialogue with Polkadot devs / wallet teams to help you understand this issue.
