Anyone convinced congressional term limits are a solution should consider the existence of the permanent bureaucracy (deep state) in the executive branch. Term limits would likely exacerbate the problem of a developing “deep state” of permanent party staffers in the legislative branch. These are the people who actually write the legislation and pull the strings for the Uni-party.
BREAKING: Twelve states have formally adopted resolutions calling for an amendment to the U.S. Constitution to establish term limits for members of Congress.
Christian pastors are going to have to think deeper than “welcome the stranger” and “love the immigrant among you” for their thoughts on immigration policy in the coming years with huge swaths of Islamic socialists actively seeking to gain political power and fundamentally reshape significant parts of America.
🙄 nobody cares who you’re attracted to or sexually active with. I have an idea… The ballpark experience, and baseball teams, should be all about playing baseball. Celebrate Jackie Robinson, and the 4th of July, and even the women who played while the men were fighting WW2… Leave this “pride” nonsense at the gate. Play ball!
Happy Father’s Day.
I’m reminded this Lord’s Day that God’s identity as Father offers dads like me a profound model that transcends mere instruction; it redefines what fatherhood means at its deepest level. Every family derives its name from God the Father (Eph 3:14–15), which means my role as a father participates in something cosmic and eternal. If you’re a father you’re not inventing fatherhood; you’re reflecting it.
The encouragement here is this: if you’re a dad you don’t stand alone in your fatherhood. Parent-child relationships are designed to teach us by analogy our precious relationship to God — our true Father — in Christ. As you love your children imperfectly, you’re pointing them toward the perfect Father who loves them infinitely. That’s your true calling.
@braxton_mccoy I’m all for electric everything, if it’s just a better product. But don’t make it illegal to buy internal combustion powered tools. I know, you know this… just had to say it.
@friedberg@TheChiefNerd@RoKhanna@sama Idk Friedberg… this seems like bad strategy. He might actually do it, but it wouldn’t change the nonsensical evil of the seizure he proposes.
Don’t pretend to be a moron. He’s saying, correctly, that the money you want to hand out to working families is already there. You don’t need new taxes. You just need to limit/end fraud. Confiscating the assets of some people, to hand out to others who didn’t earn it, is horrific. But the money’s already part of the budget, so go get it.
@TheHistoryOfTh2 Clearly Putin. It’s a lot harder for a U.S. leader to damage our reputation, because they’re only around for 8 years, at most. Also, Trump’s words and seemingly bad deals aren’t even in the same conversation as the things Putin does/has done.
Maybe, maybe not. One must always wonder who would leak something like this, and what their motives may be.
If a byproduct of the war is that the oil producers in the region spend the next few years building infrustructure that bypasses the Strait, that will be a big gain.
The Texas Rangers are the only team in Major League Baseball that doesn't host a Pride Night. This week, they're hosting Faith and Family Night instead.
Meanwhile, MLB just warned Giants pitchers for writing Bible verses on their own caps.
In Texas, we don't punish people for living out their faith. We protect that right.

@Gentleman_Ways As indispensable as Franklin and Jefferson were, I think it’s clear that without Washington, the colonies could never have coalesced into a united nation.
