I’d like to propose Winter Wednesdays. It’s like Summer Fridays, but more of midweek boost of care and rest so that I’m not drained by the time it’s the weekend.
In my I-used-to-want-to-be-a-Constitutional-lawyer opinion,
overruling Chevron seems to be paving the way for prjct 2025.
*obvs, paving NOT being done by the Federal Highway Administration.
Just want to end this thread by emphasizing that the fallout from today's decision will take potentially decades to work themselves out. Some precedent will be overturned, some will survive, and new doctrines will be developed around if and when to defer to the executive branch.
Eliminating the Chevron doctrine is, in lay terms, the equivalent of blessing judicial mansplaining. "Oh, you're an expert on clean water and think a pollutant should only be present at a certain level? Sorry, my uninformed opinion trumps your PhD in environmental science."
Men will literally talk to you even when you have headphones on. Like bruh, I can’t hear you. I’m listening to music or a podcast or my own thoughts. All are preferable to you, a stranger.
I’m not a hematologist/oncologist buuuut now that I have access to UCLA library’s academic journals I feel like I am. I don’t understand much, but I can kind of get the gist of some things 👩🏽⚕️
But I think I’ll stick with my work as a counSUElor… for now.
34 percent of Harvard students are white. 43 percent of those students are either legacies, children of faculty, kin of donors or a recruited athlete. 75 percent of them would not have gotten in if not for special status (National Bureau of Economic Research).
But when in doubt, blame the Black people!
I definitely called my oncologist “Beech” this week. I hope he knows it’s a term of endearment and I only use it with my Best Beeches. He’s in great company. @rkltornatore
