Meet the seven brilliant student-scholars disappeared off the streets of the US by the Trump Administration for criticizing Israel’s atrocities in Gaza. Four are being held in brutal for-profit ICE detention centers in Louisiana. None are charged with a crime.
Free them now. ⤵️
Come #Ramadan and a bottle of #RoohAfza, the soul refresher is seen in every household in the Subcontinent. Currently, Rooh Afza is manufactured by Hamdard Laboratories, India, Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Pakistan and Hamdard Laboratories Bangladesh. It has its genesis in #Delhi.
Incredible moment when Israel's occupation, Israel's apartheid, and Israel's destruction of Gaza are called out at the Oscars!
Thank you @basel_adra & @yuval_abraham for your powerful voices.

Note to @NatashaFatah. Just because you disagree with a fact does not mean it cannot be said. You should apologize to someone who has lost a loved one to a genocide and read the CBC's actual guidelines which apply to you. Stop denying reality.
CBC anchor Natasha Fatah told a grieving Palestinian who lost a loved one that they cannot use the word genocide to describe the genocide in Gaza. See the clip below. Natasha must apologize.
The daughter of infamous Islamophobe Tarek Fatah, Natasha has carried forward her father’s troubling legacy. Known for her bias, she shamelessly dismissed the term "genocide," saying, “We cannot use that word to describe what is happening,” and reduced the devastation to “whatever it is called.”
Let’s be clear: genocide is exactly what you call it. Leading human rights organizations, including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, the Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention, the Center for Constitutional Rights, and numerous other human rights organizations as well as prominent experts in Genocide and Holocaust Studies, agree:
1) Amos Goldberg, Jonah M. Machover Chair in Holocaust Studies, Hebrew University of Jerusalem
2) Raz Segal, Associate Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Stockton University
3) Omar Bartov, Samuel Pisar Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Brown University
4) William Anthony Schabas, Professor of International Criminal and Human Rights Law, Middlesex University and Leiden University
Note: All four of them are Jewish.
Even @CBCNews own policies appear to contradict Natasha's dismissive stance.
She owes an apology, and CBC must go beyond a simple acknowledgment of her failure to meet journalistic standards. Accountability is overdue.

Absolutely long-needed, this very clear chart detailing what anti-Palestinian racism looks like. Remember that anti-racism is indivisible and must apply to all.
First of all, I need to clarify that it was @FlyFrontier not AlaskaAir.
Lady who comes to me with questions was very rude from the very beginning, even though I speak very decent English and can understand everything and agreed to assist, she still insists on removing me from my seat. What was the base for that, racial, national or other one, I'm not sure.
But after 2 minutes of conversation, she called security and I was deplaned from this aircraft, after 1,5 hour I boarded another airline one and left to my destination.
I did my best to stay calm and respecttul as you can see on the video.
But those crew members could do better next time and just be nice with clients.
Thank you @JewsSayNo for exposing @QueensuDOM for failing to keep learners safe from Anti-palestinian racism.
Let's remember- signing a letter protesting 🇮🇱 genhoside resulted in at least 7 staff physicians being pulled off file review of medical school applications- these staff still haven't received an apology, @QueensuDOM still hasn't acknowledged the harm it caused. https://t.co/IVTZIJ9Rq7
And yet, staff members supporting an 🇮🇱 state that is committing genhoside can intimidate students, try to intimidate visiting lecturers, without any consequences.
@janephilpott resigned, but the institution is still clearly full of Anti-Palestinian racism.
Its quite upsetting to me personally seeing this- I worked at @QueensuDOM for several years and it hurts to know that the students and staff I cared for so much are in such an environment.

#EndTheGenocide
Freezing to death due to a lack of decent shelter or housing is entirely preventable. Eight Palestinian babies in Gaza have been killed this way over the past few days because of Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people fuelled by the capitalist and colonial interests of the imperial West. A community member in Ottawa died this way this week as well, because of capitalist interests in the housing system in the colonial West by developers and corporations always putting profits over people. Housing is a human right - from Turtle Island to Palestine.
This inspiring video shows the power of collective action - 1000s of health workers worldwide demand:
#FreeDrHussamAbuSafiya
Today, we demand not only his release, but also to #EndTheGenocide and to #FreeTheHostages - as 1000s of Palestinians have been illegally abducted by🇮🇱 in their genocide in Gaza.
The time to act is now
Health workers around the world will post their individual videos, to #FreeDrHussamAbuSafiya , to #EndTheGenocide and to #FreeTheHostages.

This book fills a major gap in the history of Islam in India. No student of Islam can afford to ignore this highly original, very well documented and flawlessly written book".
Prof. Suchetna Chattopadhyay, Jadavpur University
"This book is exhaustive, detailed and carefully researched. It speaks of the significant role played by Arab traders and Sufis...who arrived much before the first Muslim rulers came to India".
Prof Sreemati Mukherjee, Presidency University
"This book buries the false assumption that Islam was brought to India by conquering sultans and their armies".
Dr Nilanjan Mukhopadhyay
"The spread of Islam in the Indian subcontinent has always been the subject of controversy. Syed Ubaidur Rahman sets forth considerable evidence showing that Islam spread peacefully in many parts of India because of the efforts of Sufis and Arab traders. More interestingly we learn that many Hindu rulers were friendly to Muslims and at the level of ordinary people all communities lived in peace and amity. This book will help shed much needed light on Islam in southern India which almost completely was peaceful".
Prof. Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed
Professor Emeritus of Political Science, Stockholm University.
We urge PM @JustinTrudeau to demand Israel comply with its obligations under international law, to stop bombing civilians, to end the blockade on Gaza & to rescind evacuation orders to over 1 million Palestinians. The UN warns of dire conditions without access to Gaza.
#SAVEGAZA
The disproportionate, misleading narrative is being pushed by certain media & groups in an attempt to suppress the #FreeSpeech of Arab & Muslim communities. We ask PM @JustinTrudeau to protect the #HumanRights of Canadians who speak out against occupation & violence. #SAVEGAZA
Min. @melaniejoly, in the last week, Israeli airstrikes targeted:
⚠️Civilians in a queue for bread, killing more than 20.
⚠️School killing 27 Palestinian kids.
⚠️Hospital killing more than 500 civilians.
Israel must be held accountable for #warcrimes in Gaza.
#SAVEGAZA
PM @JustinTrudeau said, “Canada will stand with Ukraine with whatever it takes, for as long as it takes. As Ukrainians continue to fight for freedom & democracy, our support will be unequivocal until they are victorious". Canadians demand a similar stand for #Palestine. #SAVEGAZA
Over 800 scholars of international law, conflict studies, and genocide studies signed a statement warning of possible genocide being perpetrated by Israeli forces in Gaza. PM @JustinTrudeau, Canada should lead efforts at the UN to #SaveGaza.
