Suicidal Empathy is letting excessive or misplaced compassion override rational self-interest and long-term consequences, resulting in self-destructive choices.
We have been seeing this term going around with what has been happening in the world.
We are getting much closer to the consequences of it and start to realize that we might've been too friendly all along, but it is too late.

Exactly. “Armchair do-gooder” describes the behavior; “suicidal empathy” explains the broader failure.
Compassion performed at a distance, with the costs outsourced and predictable consequences ignored.
Not competing explanations, a specific manifestation of the same failure. 🧠

What you've described there is not some "alternate" explanation to suicidal empathy, it is part and parcel of the framework of suicidal empathy (stroking my luxuriant hair in the Mirror of Moral Preening). Perhaps read my book before you pontificate. @friedberg
Rather than having on your podcast someone to talk about what is not suicidal empathy, how about having the author of suicidal empathy on?
@Jason@chamath@DavidSacks
The overlap with “suicidal empathy” is this: when a moral narrative becomes immune to scrutiny, consequences stop mattering.
Calling something “justice” doesn't prove it works.
Good intentions. Ideological blind spots. Real-world consequences. 🧠

There will be no riots and looting today in Vilnius, Warsaw, Prague, Budapest, Bucharest and Zagreb.
Ask yourselves why it won’t happen in those cities
Pierre is a Suicidal Empathist.
Most French leftists are, they support the causes that is ruining their beautiful country.
Ironic that he wants to move his family out, but doesn't explain why. But we all know why.
You can't reason with someone who is threatening to rape you.
When empathy makes you believe every person can be reasoned with, even in the face of explicit threats, it stops being compassion and becomes dangerous naivety.
Know when to walk away.
That's $SUICIDAL EMPATHY💀.
A Dutch woman walking through Amsterdam is harassed by a Somali immigrant who tells her that he is going to rape her.
This is the reality for women across Europe now.
Enough is enough.
The most dangerous kind of empathy is the kind that refuses to learn from history.
You defend a movement in the name of tolerance.
You ignore its intolerances in the name of compassion.
And when the contradictions become impossible to ignore, you double down.
Good intentions don't cancel out bad consequences.
That's SUICIDAL EMPATHY. 💀

Given recent news trends, it’s likely we’ll become one of the main topics from tomorrow.

Trying to do good doesn't automatically mean you're doing good.
When empathy becomes blind, when compassion ignores consequences, and when “helping” means enabling destructive behavior…
Good intentions become a liability.
That's SUICIDAL EMPATHY.
And society is paying the price. 💀

Illinois State University (Oct. 22) — A mob of far-left extremists and Antifa surrounded a campus building to try to shut down a TPUSA event. TPUSA has been the target of deadly violence from the left before. The leftists are more emboldened in their incitement to violence.
When empathy becomes a performance, good intentions become the whole argument.
The real question isn't whether you're a good person.
It's whether your good intentions actually lead to good outcomes.
Welcome to the age of SUICIDAL EMPATHY.

Suicidal Empathy can happen worldwide.
There are cultures that are way too different to be put together, it just doesn't work.
We shouldn't bee too empathic all the time, before we know it, the people we let in, backstab us.

The Red Cross is complicit in this Suicidal Empathy.
We don't know who we are letting in to our beautiful societies.
They all have a sad story to tell that we can not even fact check, to make us feel sorry for them. So we let them in, give them a roof and food, all because of empathy.
🚨BREAKING: RED CROSS DELETES VIDEO AFTER MIGRANT MURDERS BRITISH WOMAN
The Red Cross made a sympathetic cartoon video showing the journey of Sharif, an Afghan travelling to Europe
When Sharif got there he MURDERED a British Woman and stuffed her body into a suitcase
They wanted you to feel sorry for him but he killed a young woman like the savage that he is
The Red Cross must be held to account for the blood they have on their hands
I don't think you guys understand how big this riot/protest meta will become.

France is on the brink of a civil war.
More and bigger protests are being announced on social media.
France is looking to shut down public transport on October 24 and social media or disrupt the internet.
This is taking place now all because of previous Suicidal Empathy.
Author @GadSaad famously coined the term “suicidal empathy.” Could this help explain the unrest unfolding across France?
@IsabellaRedjai sat down with him to find out.

They say the movement will continue until Christmas..

- autodifesa marchiata come aggressione
