@Byrdsmanse Tell his story from your point of view. Obits are tough, eulogies are tougher. When I my Dad’s it was in his chair at the table with his drink in front of me. I was a young kid again.

@adamhousley I met Satchel in 1980. He was brought into the Springfield(IL) Redbirds as a V.P.

They were the STL Cardinals AAA team at the time. My Grandfather was an usher there.

Satchel was always around with a baseball in his hands. Always hanging with younger ball players.
