Being #Biologist is arduous. U need to have knowledge of Chemistry, Maths, Statistics, Physics and Computer sciences too besides biology; furthermore, decades long effort, yet lack of employment security creates fizzle skepticism among blooming aspirants.

Dear scientists/PIs, if you have already fixed whom to take for a project/PhD position, then what is the need to advertise such a position on institutional/Lab webpage? It takes time and effort to write a SOP/research interest for applying.

@HathwayBrdband can call you 1000+ times only when renewal is pending. Otherwise you can't even talk to a costumer care executive to lodge a complaint. They put the call on hold.

Hitherto #Biology has been a nugatory branch of science in India. People think (mostly) if one perplex in maths&Physics or can't kick-off med school the only option left is biology pretended as the easiest science. Surprisingly they are chattering virus, immunity, vaccines etc...

Got admission at both, UoH and SPPU for M. Sc. Biotechnology (DBT supported PG) program. Decided to choose UoH. :)
