@tarikhistorias You made a presentation on your research once at Sanatkada, Lucknow, isnt it? Was thinking of that. Is the book/ research available to read?
@s95pranshu@IWTKQuiz@AshGowariker In an interview KP Saxena said when he received the call from Aamir Khan he thought it was a prank. He also said he would write from Lucknow and not Mumbai and they agreed

Much admiration for courage & conscience displayed by faculty of IIMB. In their open letter, they draw attention to feverish hate speech, inflamed often by TV anchors. They call upon corporates to defund advertisements to all media forums that foster hate, & to foster diversity
Day 3 begins at #WomenDeliver. It has been wonderful meeting the elders and the young leaders. As Porochista Khakpur, Iranian-American author-activist, said here, "We stand on the shoulders of women. May we be good shoulders to women after."
Interesting to hear about a new campaign to close the nutrition gap. At a fireside chat with media, panelists said India has done excellent work in ensuring food security. ' @PoshanAbhiyaan has shown if there is political will, you can shift the needle.' @arjandewagt
Thanks to @UNICEF for hosting today’s #WD2023 panel on the link between nutrition & gender equality—something that often goes overlooked.
🍽️Nutrition IS a gender issue—& as a physician, I know how important it is to individuals, families, and communities. #GenderNutritionGap
Panelists said Sub Saharan Africa and South Asia were poorest in the gender nutrition gap, also regions where gender inequality is highest. More on the campaign here: https://t.co/Imi2CKTs9k
'Remember: While extreme weather affects vulnerable communities first it will eventually touch all of us'. Such joy to meet brilliant young women like @InezaGrrace
Day 2 at @womendeliver began with listening to this amazing eco-feminist who uses animation to educate young people on climate change issues because -- 'after all, no one can hate a cartoon'. See her animation here: https://t.co/5jvL658sk9
Concrete progress in addressing the climate crisis hinges on inclusivity, with women and girls at its core. Climate justice is inseparable from gender justice. Emphasizing this vital connection at #WomenDeliver2023#WD2023.

@yadsingh77 Promoting gender equality is a shared responsibility, Yadavendra reminds. "It requires active participation and support of govt, media, institutions, civil society, individuals." Collective effort is needed to foster inclusive societies.
Significant efforts have been made for gender equality but the progress is uneven, insufficient, @yadsingh77 says. "For example, in India, the New Education Policy mentions the girl child and the transgender child. The policy is there but it doesn’t translate into action."
@yadsingh77 "As far as legal reform is concerned we still have a long way to go. There is an ongoing debate on marriage equality. The definition of marriage, family, needs to be broadened to include aspirations of queer people. We need strong anti-discrimination laws to protect people"
