i will forever think the storming of the dragonpit was a lazy way to get rid of all the dragons especially because of what happened to syrax and dreamfyre, it felt rushed and poorly written and it does not make sense to me

The series is called House of the Dragon, yet the woman who is arguably its central protagonist never gets a defining dragon duel. Her story becomes all about motherhood and grief.

Even relatively minor dragonriders have major aerial battles.

Yet Rhaenyra and Syrax never do.

We hear so much about her love for dragon riding. Her bond with syrax, how she has been flying with her since she was 7 years of age. And then to give syrax not s single combat, and give it the most undignified death that a 33 year old dragon can have is honestly just saddening.
