@CaulfieldTim@nytimes August is Immunization Awareness Month. Now I know why I struggled to find current educational material. I heard RFKjr say (paraphrasing) "Don't listen to me. I'm not a doctor." but then he fired the doctor that he selected with relevant expertise. That is disingenuous or worse.
@SarahIronside6@kimacquaviva A former colleague told me that it was suggested on a job interview that she decline health insurance or they might offer her a position with less hours so she doesn't qualify for health insurance. Employers are getting bold.
@Rocky_ioa@InsideTheMagic Exactly. Even the article says the new show is coming to the "Tree of Life Theater". Nothing about the Tree of Life being removed.
@DutchRojas Health insurance is a scam.
The U.S. spends nearly 18 percent of GDP on health care, yet Americans die younger and are less healthy than residents of other high-income countries.

As of 5/24/24, Sanofi discontinued production of insulin glargine, but no one bothered to tell my loved one. Not the pharmacy and not his physician.
We patiently waited for the "prior authorization" that never came and paid out of pocket for one month's supply.
If at any point over the last 6 months someone advised us that the insulin he was prescribed was discontinued, we would have asked for a different prescription but shouldn't the prescriber and the pharmacy have given us this vital information?
@Sinmiaraoye It boggles the mind that, despite the science, mental health and addiction treatment is still stigmatized and undervalued. Reminds me of the woman in her late 80s looking for help with her acute depressive episode only to be told she was "too old" for the inpatient unit.
Absolutely horrific. In most states, medical assistants are non- licensed personnel. MAs can work with just on the job training. Advocate for yourself. Ask: Are you a nurse or a MA? Patients have the right to know who is treating them.

@wkamaubell@VanJones68 "Because that job doesn't really require much" I'd love to see him try both doing the labor and living on the wages for just two weeks.
