@AdjustedHockey@DailyFaceoff Do you think goalies playing fewer games in today's NHL will (eventually) affect how voters view the position's candidacy? For ex. does someone like CuJo get viewed in a more positive light down the road when modern Gs will likely finish their career with significantly fewer GP
@griffinporter97 73 other concurrent finals between the NHL and NBA and it's only happened twice
1983 Islanders over Oilers and 76ers over Lakers
1995 Devils over Red Wings and Rockets over Magic
Roughly 21% of Cup Finals in that time frame have been sweeps vs. ~12% NBA Finals sweeps.
@BeantownCanuck@JFreshHockey As a pair Bergeron and Marchand played 9,521:56 together and had a 62.8 GF% and 60.2 xGF%, higher xGoal share than the Sedin line but much lower GF%. 64.4 vs. 61.5 average for the Sedin line over Bergeron/Marchand
@KristopherPas11 @JFreshHockey Think they would have finished just off the the list by the average GF/xGF%. 3,012:12 played together with 60.6 GF% and 55.2 xGF%, so 57.9% average
NEW: From the craziness of the FISU Games to last-second winning goals and double overtime deciders, 2023 was a great year for U SPORTS.
I take a look back at my top 10 moments of this year.

@McguirePetrov This win doesn’t happen without Greg Campbell’s blocked shot. He may have missed the game 9 clincher with his broken leg, but he defined what it meant to be a Bruin that night
NEW: The UBC Thunderbirds are back in the Vanier Cup for the first time since 2015, and they’ve done it on the back of a Canadian football-embracing, Texas-born QB in Garrett Rooker.
@ubctbirds v Montreal this weekend.

@JFreshHockey Numbers from Stathead. Pittsburgh and Arizona were the only other teams in this group that also had 0 wins. 0-9-1 for Arizona, 0-7-3 for Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh still finished with a winning record that season though (19-17-8)
@iancmclaren I'll always remember that game against the Caps a couple years ago when they had this D group:
Lauzon-Ahcan
Zboril-Kampfer
Tinordi-Clifton
@AdamZHerman@Real_Max_Miller@JLazzy23 Gaustad used to be crazy for this, not only would he flip his stick over routinely as a tactic, but he'd try to conceal what he was doing as long as possible and flip it back and forth last second as well.
@LaneKillian6@JFreshHockey His 18/19 season would have won in almost any other year but Trotz going from winning the Cup with the Caps to taking the Isles to the playoffs just after losing Tavares was tough to beat. Other years just seems like too routine of a pick, I guess
@hockey_samurai For a 2-time Hart winner (and 4 time finalist) that played almsot his whole career in Boston, Bill Cowley never really gets mentioned for the Bruins. Him being dominant during the WW2 years affects things, but even among that era his name isn't brought up nearly as much as others
