A LITTLE NOTE TO AAP SUPPORTERS

Confession: I was one of the many India Against Corruption supporters. I was naive and idealistic in believing the movement could help rid our country of corruption. I was even happy when AAP was born. I supported Kejriwal publicly. I even donated for their cause in the early days.

Although I was a BJP supporter, I somehow felt there was a need for one more Non-Congress alternative. But as days rolled by, I saw how Kejriwal treated his co-founders. He was particularly nasty to them.

Then he finished off all scope for national expansion by keeping the party Kejriwal and Delhi centric. He was wishy-washy with the ideology. One day he was appeasing the minorities. Another day he claimed to be a Hanuman bhakt.

One could clearly see the man didn't have any core beliefs. I gave up on him and his party when he allied with the Congress party.

I was further disillusioned with him when he got mired in the liquor scam.

The Swati Maliwal assault episode is one more instance of outrageous things that happen right under his nose.

Kejriwal is consistent with one thing. He constantly disappoints his core supporters. And violates the confidence reposed in him.

None of the other party leaders have this deep flaw. They work for the benefit of their hardcore supporters. Hence I would request all well meaning supporters of AAP to re-assess their unconditional support.

Kejriwal has no moral compass. He has no ideological agenda. He doesn't bat for the party. He doesn't champion any cause.

For his meagre achievements, he is disproportionately narcissistic and quite delusional. Yes, he is politically sharp and savvy. But he's not worth your support.

Having assessed the options available for the Indian voter, I have chosen to publicly back the one party that I've always silently supported. That's the BJP.

It may have its shortcomings. But it's pro-merit. India first. Unabashedly proud about our civilization's Hindu origins. And it has a phalanx of strong leaders and the right set of ideas to take India to the next level.

It might help to take stock now and to switch your vote to folks who are tried and tested in Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab. Do the sensible thing. Give up on Kejriwal. The man doesn't deserve supporters like you.

In his recent interview, he unmasks Congress and says that they will stop attacking Adani-Ambani the moment they give money to the Congress. Of the two, Rahul Gandhi has already stopped attacking one.
