Shouldn’t one be asked if they want to pay ‘optional service charge’ @Ginofantastico at Liverpool Sky Bar? I bought 2 rounds so paid more service charge on the first round (2 drinks). I often tip but it should be my choice don’t you think and not automatically taken
If you answered the phone that would be helpful but seeing as you don’t then it isn’t. People across the country are left desperate trying to get answers and no-one to turn to. I get more information from shopping sites about deliveries than this government site. #passport

Ah yes… that will make up for the loss of city centre green spaces and parks like Bixteth Street Gardens won’t it.
I look forward to walking my dog and having a lunch break on it. 🤦♀️

@mWazAliCioUs @DannyH71739317@passportwaiting Hi Megan. How long did it take to receive yours after it was printed? Just heard mine has been printed. Thanks
@JgGodley@HM_Passport In hindsight I should have fast tracked it but when I looked at government website it said 5 weeks. I didn’t know at that time all the delays were happening. The most annoying thing is that it didn’t run out until December but we thought we’d get it done in time for our holiday
@JgGodley@HM_Passport I posted mine, 5 weeks and counting. Can’t get through to @HM_Passport to check progress. Travel Monday 18th but due to bank holiday I would need to receive it by Thursday 14th
@hannahhvlc@passportwaiting Apparently the information I was given was wrong. The next two people I spoke to said they didn’t know where the first person had got this information from as there was nothing on screen to say it! Looks like I was lied to, the last person I spoke to said “processing”
‘Meltdown’ at UK passport renewals forces travellers to cancel Easter breaks | Consumer rights | The Guardian
ordinary people have been massively let down. This government needs to answer and sort this out @Keir_Starmer @AngelaRayner https://t.co/1LZNUz9Dne
@HM_Passport I keep hoping and preying I get mine for 18th but reading all these comments I don’t think I will. Cannot believe news channels aren’t covering this, cannot believe MP’s aren’t questioning @pritipatel or @BorisJohnson in parliament
@Andrew_Nunn117@HM_Passport I wonder if there are any solicitors out there to take this on to start group action? This isn’t down to Covid or numbers of applicants, this is down to bad management. The frustrating thing is not getting any help whilst waiting. Due to travel on 18th April
@WallaceTracy10@christianburns_@HM_Passport Not really helpful! I tried too… they say backlog, too many applications etc… reality is poor management all the way to @pritipatel I’d say! Get your house in order Priti! Covid is no excuse for poor management
Meltdown and failure, in a country that once prided itself on competence and efficiency, are everywhere.
It's not an accident. It's an outcome of the strategy: a programme to "deconstruct the administrative state".

Another day of not being able to get through to the passport office 3 weeks of chasing renewal and not one clear answer-on the two occasions I’ve been able to get through. One sounded like she was browsing the internet and not listening to a word I said #passport#disaster
