@CllrNickSmall@CityNorthLabour@KimJohnsonMP@lpoolcouncil But the community has had no green space. For 7 years. Ironically during a time when Covid hit and we were told to walk outside in green spaces! The impact on people’s metal/physical health? Immeasurable. And who takes responsibility for this? No consequences.
@CllrNickSmall@CityNorthLabour@KimJohnsonMP@lpoolcouncil I think most people would like to believe this. If for no other reason, than our park would not have be destroyed for nothing. But this seems to be almost word for word what we have been fed for years. It’s very difficult to believe this is true now.
We are approaching the seven (SEVEN!!!) year anniversary of the destruction of Bixteth Street Gardens. Just take that in. Bulldozers came and flattened our park to make way for New Grade A office space, a hotel and all that ‘public realm’ we so “desperately needed”…
@KimJohnsonMP These laws didn't stop Joe Anderson from destroyingthe green space that was Bixteth Street Gardens for a development which didn't even have planning permission. Can it be restored to its original state and the public footpath be reinstated? It should be protected.
Didn't stop @joeando58 from authorising the destruction of Bixteth St. Gardens entire ecosystem (one of only two green spaces in Liverpool city centre) for nothing @KimJohnsonMP@LiamThorpECHO@bixtethgardens campaign to reinstate it & the public footpath
Sorry… I can’t seem to find the information regarding positive upcoming change?
@LiamThorpECHO What’s the latest? What have we missed?

@Liverpolitans@Charliee1972@LiverpoolLabour@CarlCashman@bixtethgardens @prosocialplace "The campaigners" are just regular folk who don't like seeing green space bulldozed for land grabs. 'Offsetting' established trees, their air-cleaning and CO2-capturing properties with saplings misses the point. Commercial districts need green spaces too, not just turf and shrubs
