These are my three pineapple plants this year. All were started from one original pineapple that I bought at Aldi's. What property tax cuts? Property taxes are up 75% since you took office in 2015. Population growth is up 14% and inflation is up 30% since then,so pop+inf is up about 44%. This means that property taxes rose 70% faster than the average taxpayer can afford during your tenure. Sure, Texas Lege and you have put billions toward reducing school district M&O property taxes (used too much bad homestead exemption hikes and not enough compression that you pushed for but not hard enough) and put property tax limitations in place (though not strict enough and too many loopholes), but those efforts haven’t cut property taxes for Texans. Texas Lege and you should do more to reduce property taxes through compression with surplus, go to 0% voter-approval rate, and impose strict local spending limits. If the Texas Lege doesn’t have the courage to do it, keep calling them back until they do. Thanks!
