India have controlled this game very well. Big innings coming up for Sanju Samson now.

Exposing Ajit Agarkar's politics against Sanju Samson :

Sanju Samson ended his ODI run with a century on a challenging South African pitch and still averages 56 in the format. Despite that, Ajit Agarkar dropped him and didn't even offer opportunities through India A to fight his way back into contention.

During the 2023 Asia Cup, Ajit Agarkar picked Tilak Varma for India's ODI squad ahead of Sanju Samson. Samson had already proven himself in ODI cricket, while Tilak was yet to establish himself at that level.

After Sanju Samson smashed three T20I centuries in just five matches, Shubman Gill was brought in as vice-captain and opened the innings, pushing Samson out of his preferred role. Gill then endured a prolonged lean run before eventually losing that position.

At the 2024 T20 World Cup, India preferred Rishabh Pant over Sanju Samson in the XI. Later, Samson went on to earn the POTT in T20 WC 2026, raising hopes that he had finally secured consistent backing in India's T20I setup.

Even after becoming Player of the Tournament, Sanju Samson is dropped from India's T20I squad for the Zimbabwe series following just three low scores, despite already missing games on the England tour. Meanwhile, several other players continuously recieving extended opportunities.

Let me explain Ajit Agarkar's politics against Sanju Samson all these times:

- Sanju Samson has scored 100 on a tough track of South Africa in his last ODI & has average of 56 in ODIs. Ajit Agarkar dropped him after that & never even given him chance to prove himself for even India A after that.

- During 2023 Asia Cup, Ajit Agarkar selected Tilak Varma in Indian ODI team over Sanju Samson when Samson was already a proven ODI player & Tilak was just a newbie.

- In T20Is, when Sanju Samson had scored 3 100s in space of 5 games, Ajit Agarkar brought Shubman Gill in team India as vice captain so that Samson loses his opening slot but he got exposed as Gill failed in all 15 games & they were forced to remove him out of public outrage.

- Then Sanju Samson won India the T20I WC single handedly as POTT, we thought now Samson won't be under scanner & will get a long run but guess what? Ajit Agarkar dropped him from T20I team against Zimbabwe after just 3 failures when Samson was already out of XI on England tour. None of Ishan, Abhishek, Tilak got rest who are playing all games. This is how they sideline Sanju Samson everytime. They know, public will stop talking about him after a point!

@imAagarkar is working for Gill and Rohit

Gill and Rohit never wants #Sanjusamson in their team..
That agenda they're executing through @imAagarkar and @pragyanojha

[KATAM SUNIL @SunilKatam74771]

If God has a plan for Sanju, no amount of clownery can stop it. No matter how hard these people try to sideline him, things will change when the time is right. If they've forgotten the man who helped bring glory and saved their jobs, karma hasn't. Karma always has the final answer and it's coming soon.
@imAagarkar

[rar @Sunshine_blosso]

What is @imAagarkar doing as a chief selector
Just working for Gill and Rohit
The reason why he continued to be selector because of (Asia Cup , T20 wc) wins
But he forgets the perfomances of #sanju
Now no chance for him in odi team also. &
Blocking sanju to become T20 captain

[Abhishek Kumar @Abhishek060722]

Q: Who should captain India in T20Is?

Sachin Tendulkar: “Look, there are many good options, but if I had to pick one, I would choose Sanju Samson as India's T20 captain because the calmness with which he is batting right now is second to none.

I hope he becomes captain because I really like his leadership style. The way he has led Rajasthan Royals has been impressive, and I see some similarities with MS Dhoni's captaincy.”💯
