GHANA LAUNCH A MINI PARLIAMENT FOR CHILDREN
Ghana’s Parliament officially launched its Mini Parliament initiative on May 25, 2026, to give children a direct voice in national decision-making.
At the inaugural sitting, about 100 children participated, with 30 selected to act as parliamentarians. They debated the topic “Responsible Use of Technology by Children,” focusing on online safety, digital responsibility, and cyberbullying. Officials from the Cyber Security Authority also led a session on internet safety and the protection of personal information.
Parliament says the Mini Parliament will be sustained as part of efforts to strengthen youth engagement and prepare future leaders through practical civic education.
The first flight carrying around 300 Ghanaians evacuated from South Africa following anti-immigrant tensions and reported attacks on foreign nationals has arrived in Accra. Authorities welcomed returnees with reintegration support and transport assistance.
@DaveOCKOP Didn't Liverpool/FSG go for him when Klopp was ending his reign? Did Xavi turn them down to wait on @realmadriden? Why are we up in arms about not going for him again?
An early goal, the chance to pummel a team so obviously short of confidence but Liverpool spend 20 minutes dropping off and playing backwards to such an extent they have now been pegged back. Not for the first time here this season, it has been utterly anaemic.
Liverpool may be desperate to stick with Arne Slot, but that stance won't withstand the Anfield crowd turning against him. Today felt like that - these fans are just sick of watching a passive, toothless brand of football they have seen for over a year now.
